A recent study at Dartmouth University alludes to the possibility of the Greenland Ice Cap melting within 20 years.  What will happens if this scenario plays out?  How will you or your organization cope with this possibility? Hurricane Katrina was a terrible disaster. But what if climate change from excess greenhouse gases changes the equilibrium point of our weather patterns so there are two, maybe three Katrinas?  All in one year. How will your business adjust?  What if the water begins to rise on the seashore? Will you have another place to live in a mountainous area?  What if your suppliers are drowned out?  Will you be in the Global Purchasing Conduit so you can rapidly shift your sourcing?

Globalization Has Brought All Of Us Together In Real Time

There is a convergence of forces right now.  Environmental forces from the growing threat of climate change.  Human forces as weapons of mass destruction proliferate and are placed in the hands of the totally ruthless who do not care what havoc they might rain on future generations. Human forces as two great religions clash again and again.  The Crusades are still being fought. 

The Fact Is - Change is Happening.  Forests are disappearing which are the lungs of the planet.  The ocean is threatened which is our life blood.   But we can become "prudent humans".  As "prudent humans" we will cut down trees but we will replant them. We will grow fast growing nitrogen fixing trees like Leucaena for energy.   We won't use trees for paper we'll grow kenaf.  We will develop a sports passports so our athletes can travel freely and give us the needed release from our fighting and struggling through experiencing the power of sport.

We have been trained since childhood and bear the RNA memory molecules that make us prejudiced.  We can through training change our inner belief about our fellow human beings. During World War II Southern US soldiers learned to respect and work side by side with their Black brothers.  Their inner beliefs were changed.  The new field of Diversity Communication provides needed skills for successful business and personal relations in our high diversity world. But we can purchase mountain top land for when the sea level rises.  Maybe we lost our job because of outsourcing.  We can't change that but we can travel to a near shore country like Honduras and start our own outsourcing project.
