Soccer Teams From Every Part of Africa, every State In The USA, Canada, Korea, And Taiwan Are Invited To Bring Your Team To Honduras. Play Soccer Against Central American Teams and Plant Trees With Honduran Youth!
Why play soccer across continental boundaries? Why do so many soccer teams want to travel thousands of miles to compete in other countries? Isn't it because soccer is a worldwide community? The rules are the same everywhere. What is different is the style of play.
To play at the international level means knowing how to compete against your fellow soccer players from other soccer traditions. What is the best soccer tradition in the world? What makes a winning team? Many African teams are made up of players from the same ethnic group, often the same tribe. That means their style of play is the same. Maybe your team has been very successful playing in your country because you have only had to compete with players from your own culture. But if you want to move to the international scenes you are going to have to get a taste of competition against other soccer cultures and other soccer styles.
We believe the best soccer style is made up of all the soccer traditions in the world. African teams need to travel outside the continent to experience other playing styles. In the Western Hemisphere we are made up of so many different races and groups that our soccer youth experience just about any style that exists. What has emerged is called "Run and Gun".
Here in the Western Hemisphere we call our teams made up of many groups a hybrid team. Western Hemisphere teams are built with hybrid vigor. Hybrid vigor is the result of the mixing of races. That's why the Brazilians are so good. They combine African blood, Indian Blood with European blood. We think the hybrid vigor that results makes a better soccer team.
Your team can tap into this hybrid vigor by coming to play against our teams. Learn from these different styles. Share your style with them. Create friendships that will last a lifetime. And come with the plan to Win.
What's the best way to create a winning soccer team? Come to the AfroCarib2007 and find out.

Hone Your Team's Soccer
Skills Against The Legs Of Iron Of the Mountain Youth Of IntibucaThink your players are in shape? Imagine walking 10 miles to town up and down 1000 or 2000 feet every day. Imagine running up hills like that. Imagine playing soccer with legs like that. Think your players are in condition? Take a look at these legs.
When the Abuja Unity Boys team from the capital of Nigeria came to Intibuca to play soccer, they didn't bother practicing. "These players are so small, we'll run all over them." Imagine their surprise when they literally bounced off the legs and bodies of these "little Lenca Indians". "Their bodies are like iron", they complained.
Come to the AfroCarib2007 and get a chance to play against these "little Lenca Indians". Located in La Esperanza, the mountain capital of the departmento of Intibuca, in Western Honduras, this program provides you the opportunity to build your 'futbol' skills in one of the world's great soccer countries. For one week, you'll have the option not only of playing in the tournament but can participate in a special SoccerNSpanish camp. You can spend each afternoon or morning as a member of an soccer club, training alongside Honduran boys and girls in your age group and receiving instruction from excellent coaches.
La Esperanza is over a mile high and the ideal place for a soccer tournament because of the year round temperate weather, and friendly people. The People of La Esperanza love football and footballers from any country. As a matter of fact the only celebrities you will find in La Esperanza will be footballers.
La Esperanza is the home of the MOTILES Footall Academy.

The AfroCarib2007 Cup tournament is designed to enable youth of African
descent from the African continent to get to know youth of African descent in
the western Hemisphere to get to know each other by playing soccer
together.

The final game will be played on Sunday morning, November 25, 2007 with the awards and awards banquet Sunday Night.
A number of other social activities will be on offered before and/or after games, so there will be no "dull" moments during the week.
The Finals will be played at the La Esperanza City Stadium in La Esperanza, Honduras.
No one can deny the effect of
Soccer in Honduran culture. Honduras and Hondurans love the game above all else.
Children play soccer with balled up socks in the
streets. And at one time, Honduran national teams played so well in in
international tournaments, they were placed 27th in World soccer nations, above
nations with far higher populations and more resources. Great coaches,
great players that no one deny. Honduras soccer and Honduran soccer
players have put Honduras on the map.
In recent years, Honduras has not been able to reach its highest potential, due to the loss of resources after Hurricane Mitch destroyed 40% of the Honduran economy. Gone is the Honduran National women's soccer team. And cross country play for Honduran youth is often not available. But it is rebuilding its youth programs and developing new women's programs.
That's because Honduras is such a soccer nation, with just about every child playing, Honduras is on the verge of returning to its former glory. We at MOTILES are determined to support the grassroots programs being developed by FENAFUTH in rural communities to discover new soccer talent.
Each team is guaranteed four games. These games will consist of round robin play and/or playoff games following the round robin . The exact format for each division depends upon the number of teams in the division. Any division that has more than eight teams will have a consolation playoff as well as a championship playoff, following round robin play.
Fair play is an important aspect of the tournament. Each year the girls and boys teams that best exemplify good sportsmanship and fair play are awarded the Carol Cross Fair Play Award. This trophy is named after Dr. Carol Cross, founder of the AfroCarib2007 Cup Tournament.
All players must be covered by medical insurance, and details of such insurance must be provided at the time of team registration. No player will be allowed on a team's roster without having provided such information.
All players must have a player card, with photo, from their governing body. This card must be shown to the tournament committee at the time of team registration. In addition, each must present a RED de AfroHeritage Footballer Participation Card.
Out of country teams must provide proof of "permission to travel" from their governing body
Our goal is to support organized youth and women's soccer in Honduras. Dr. Carol Cross, founder and director of MOTILES. Inc., has accepted the volunteer Director of Development for the Liga Menor de Fútbol Intibucano, an affiliate of FENAFUTH.
