About Guerreros De Relámpago

The Guerreros De Relámpago team is a team that has developed a good soccer team in the town of La Esperanza and is growing in worldwide interest. The athletes are mostly from campesino families who walk up to 15 miles a day up and down the mountains of Intibuca. As a player of the Abuja Unity Boys Football Club of Nigeria said, "When we saw these campesino boys they were smaller than us. We thought playing against them would be easy. But their bodies are so hard. When you hit them, you bounce off. Their legs are like iron." That is because they walk and run up the mountain sides from birth.

What Is The Future Of Guerreros De Relámpago?

But Guerreros De Relámpago is not satisfied to be just another soccer team playing in Honduras.  Guerreros De Relámpago has become associated with the International Sports Adventure Institute, Inc, and will be an integral part of Soccer for Life's program to revitalize Honduran Soccer.  Guerreros De Relámpago has as its fifteen year goal to play in and win the Intercontinental Cup. Guerreros De Relámpago's coaches and players will be intimately involved in these Honduran projects:

The passion of Soccer for Life,I nc, . is soccer or football as it is known everywhere in the world.  Guerreros De Relámpago is a unique soccer team in Honduras. Dr. Carol Cross, founder of Soccer for Life, is owner of Guerreros. This team will profit from all her expertise.

This  team has come to understand just what soccer is all about.  It's not just men running up and down a field for 90 minutes, scoring the occasional goal. Soccer can be the glue that brings all of us in the world to the table for communication and understanding.

When we look at the Power of Sport, we see why sports are so important in our lives.  Through membership in Guerreros De Relámpago, kids who love the game, fans who love soccer, soccer teams (both youth and adults as well as businesses find a common ground with this pioneering team.  

This is a team on which Dr. Carol Cross, president of the Compañia de Reforestación, Energía y Agricultura (CREA) S. de R. L. de CV is utilizing for the development of soccer for both boys and men as well as girls and women in Intibucá.   Because of her presence and influence on the team management, this pioneering team seeks to provide the impetus for soccer development and thus economic development in Central America.  To do this requires a soccer community.  And that soccer community is already there, made up of kids in the USA, Europe, and Asia who love the game and would like closer ties with World class soccer players.  Our goal is for Guerreros De Relámpago to field a player(s) at the World Cup Level in 2014. 

Train For A Week With Guerreros De Relámpago

Elite soccer players of age 15 and higher can train for one or two weeks with Guerreros De Relámpago.

What Direction Does Guerreros De Relámpago Intend To Take?

A. Team Ownership

Guerreros De Relámpago through its association with the CREA , will be starting and purchasing small lower division teams in Central America.  We will support these teams and pull them into a community that will then be able to command sponsorships from within Central America and worldwide.

B.  Support For Honduras Youth Soccer Project

Coaches from Guerreros De Relámpago will be donating time to offer free soccer clinics and supporting free soccer camps throughout Central America.  It will support Soccer For Life in its goals to provide a soccer ball for every child in Central America and a team for every community.

C.  Athlete Ownership and Player Transfers

Athletes have a short  playing span and unless they get the training they need early and get into the best condition early, they miss their window of opportunity.   They are an excellent source of revenue.    We will be developing teams all over the Central American Region. Once we locate talented players, we will bring our players through these programs:

Stadium Construction

Guerreros De Relámpago is presently using the city stadium for its games.  As a result, we cannot maximize our sponsorship or investor activities. We intend to develop our own stadium which will be used not only for our soccer games, but will be a part of our development of Intibucá as a prime sports adventure and ecotourism destination in Honduras.

Sponsorship of Central American soccer is in its infancy. When we see the stadiums in Central America, we see no movable signs;  we do not see the luxury boxes that we see in Europe. Since we will be focusing on attracting investors and bringing in fans, we need to develop marketing partnership based sponsorship programs.  

Soccer Based SATBIs

Soccer can be the basis of economic development in Central America.  In Jesus de Otero, we will develop  a soccer based SocTBI as an integrated tourism project.  Investors are sought for this project.
