We can choose where we want to be and still be creative in this
age of the Internet. We have choices we have never had before. We
can work anywhere and still be able to reach out to our world and
around the world.
Arizona is the most beautiful place in the world. Visit the Grand Canyon, which is called one of the natural wonders of the world. See the natural magnificent landscape of the painted desert. Find Native American cultures still intact. With its unique beauty, its mountains, and the ancient cultures, there is a high spiritual energy in Arizona.
The beauty of the Arizona desert is always there with the many colors of beige, tans and browns of the Arizona dry season. You will never tire of the reds, oranges, pinks and purples of the sunsets because each is unique, appearing more beautiful than the one before.
And
even more, there is true beauty when the short
blooming of the desert comes after the
rains in July and August. You will see an incredible show
of color. Yellow will be the predominant color with
glimpses of red, purple, orange, pink, and blue.
These plants live
their whole lifespan in a short period of time. You can
almost feel the life force when you walk in
the
Arizona desert. It's as if you can watch the plants grow,
it happens so quickly. The life force energy they release is
exhilarating, exciting and energizing.
This natural blooming of the desert comes with the monsoon rains which release the seeds buried in the ground as well as touching the deep rooted plants. With many years of prolonged drought, the bloom may be retarded or even stopped. With water, the desert does indeed bloom.
Agricultural
production in Arizona is the result of water.
Water is the key to life in
Arizona. In agricultural zones, irrigation trenches, are
everywhere. Water rights are vital in Arizona agriculture. If you
purchase land in Arizona and plan to farm, make sure the land has
water rights for irrigation.
One of the crops
growing well under irrigation is wheat. As Maricopa County
develops, you see fewer
and fewer wheat fields. At one time
the valley was full of cotton fields and wheat fields. As more
and more people move in, the fields more farther away from the
center of the valley.
Here
in Arizona we have more land in reservations than any other state
for our native American populations. We have many Pueblos,
Apaches, Navajo and other tribes. They own casinos, develop
aquaculture projects and farm the land of the ancestors.
They add to the diversity of our beautiful state and give us a
unique cultural richness.
We
turn to the Spirits of the Arizona Mountains for energy.
We draw upon the wisdom of the Ancient ones such as
Anasazi.
There are many
natural and main made waters in Arizona. Chances are you no
more than a few miles from them. There are urban lakes as
well as beautiful lakes like Lake Pleasant which is
controlled by dams. There are small fishing lakes like
Maricopa
Lake in Youngstown, Cortez Lake in Phoenix. Other urban
lakes are found in Tempe and Mesa.
Often
you may see trees about 20 feet tall. you may think, these are
young trees. Some of these small trees may be hundreds
of years old. When you enter the desert, you are in the
presence of great monarchs.
In the valley alone there are thousands of palms, evergreen and deciduous trees. And of course the majestic Saguaros.
Come to Maricopa County when snow blankets the rest of the USA. You will still find green date palms heavy with fruit, green pines, and many kinds of every green trees. Orange groves are still found here heavy with golden fruit.
Pecan trees still dot the landscape. Heavy with fruit, they attract squirrels and birds. Fig trees are found in many parts of the city. Bird eat them with gusto, adding to the bird watching opportunities here. Roadrunners can still be seen close to houses.
Jackrabbits abound. Even
the occasional coyote is found in the city limits. And of
course there are hundreds of horse properties with beautiful
purebred horses with attendant goats, sheep and other livestock.
There are small farms with emus, ostriches and llamas.
Chickens, geese, peacocks roam places all over the valley.
Sunburst Farms, a older development of over 1500 houses in Glendale, for example, has many 5 acre small farms where people are able to maintain a small farming life right in the middle of the city. Children do chores, learn responsibility and spend quality time with their parents. Want to live rural in the middle of the city? Contact Dr. Cross about seeing some of these semi-rural properties in Glendale.
And of course there are the million dollars luxury houses in many parts of town with 4 car garages, rooms for servants, spas, large pools are available.
Or you can find a trailer park in which to live. Every quality of life, level of investment, choice of terrain and landscaping can be found somewhere in Arizona.
