There is still a place where the air is pure, where nieblina (clouds) come down into the tranquil streets. A place where the pace is slow and where people come to recharge after their fast paced life. I would like to invite you to come to Intibuca -the Oregon Of Honduras |

Once The Skies Were Clear, The Air Was PureModel Before Global WarmingBefore our present Global Warming Crisis, our planet was in equilibrium. Rays of sunlight came in, and where there are few clouds, most of the heat radiated back outside the Earth’s lower atmosphere. That is why on clear nights it is so much colder than on cloudy nights. There were few greenhouse gases so most heat rays left the Earth. Carbon emissions were low, our planet was highly forested and greenhouse gases were few. The temperature and sea level were in equilibrium. Weather throughout the world was predicable The tropical rain forests and other forests were abundant to remove carbon dioxide from the air and replenish oxygen. This was before large scale industrialization caused an increase in greenhouse gases We can only imagine what it felt like to walk through the Great Forest of the Western Hemisphere when the Europeans entered the continent. We can only see in our mind's eyes, the Great Trees, the abundant wildlife, the clear running streams, the bird filled air, the roar of a flock of passenger pigeons. Once our world was rich with purity, cleanliness and freshness. That was the way before Global Warming from Western Man's industrialization of our planet.
See Legend below*
What was it like for use who lived in the world of forests before Global Warming? This is the story of ForestmanPart One A long long time ago, in the mists of time before prehistory and before Early man, there was a Great Tree - called The SPIRIT TREE. Many many cultures tell of a great sentient tree or Spirit Tree that gave life to Humans. The legend of the Great Spirit Tree says this sacred tree was the ancestor of all Forestmen. At first the tree was all powerful as the World Tree in the primeval past. But the tree grew lonely. The tree dropped seeds because it was lonely and the seeds sprouted up and became sentient beings - Forestman. Forestman loved and cared for the Great Spirit Tree, living in harmony with it. In those days there were very few people, just Forestman and the great tree. Most of all, Forestman knew that he was a part of the great trees. In his dim racial memory, he believed that he had been spiritually born of the great trees. But things changed. One day Forestman gave rise through evolution to a new kind of Human. Exploiter. Now there were two kinds of Humans. Both these cousins still lived in the forest. Human Cousin one we call Forestman. Cousin two was called Exploiter. They were happy, frolicking and running, climbing the great trees, eating the fruits, laughing, happy together. Of course sometimes there were problems, bigger family members tried to eat them. But the cousins were able to handle their problems by cooperating and working together. They were close like brothers. "Nothing will ever separate us," they vowed. The two cousins were adventurous. They traveled all over the world forests. We are lucky to live on a planet of trees," they said. They clambered, swung from the limbs, walked, they traveled, they communicated with each other. They were happy together. Then the Pliocene came and the world forest began to shrink. Great plains began to appear. Forestman avoided them, staying within the Great Forest. He did not want to leave the shelter of his beloved trees. One day Exploiter talked Forestman into having an even greater adventure. So they painfully walked away from the trees out onto the great plains and tried living there. Exploiter loved being out of the forest. He had always been more aggressive, more dominating, more used to attacking others in the forest while Forestman simply ignored problems and if they didn't go away he would defend himself. But he never got really angry. He just didn't have the inner calling or desire to be so aggressive. He just didn't feel like it. Sometimes he killed for food, but it was just for food. Forestman missed the support and shelter of the great trees. He didn't like the way he had to deal with the food items he got on the plains. When he lived in the forest either he simply hunted for animals or collected plant life. He traveled from place to place, never overusing the forest. On the plains, it was much more difficult to get food. And the sun's light was harsh. The need for water was ever present. Exploiter had to work hard to survive in that hostile, treeless environment. In the forest, he didn't have to worry about food. There was always something to catch. Indeed, one of his major problems had been figuring out what fruits to eat. There were so many choices. Forestman remembered the Great Spirit Tree and how he had come from it. So Forestman decided to go back to the trees he loved. He wanted the support of the forest, the great trees, he didn't like having to aggressively destroy to get food and aggressively do a lot of deceitful things. On the plains, you had to hide and lay in wait, to deceive, to dig pits, to find ways to trick things into being your prey. In the forest, he was straight forward and open about his pursuit. He liked both the freedom to be himself, and the freedom to travel all over the world forest. He didn't like having to hide, to pretend, to deceive. He liked to be open about his eating and everything. Forestman did not want to control his environment. He let the great trees shape his body. He did not develop heavy clothing to separate himself from his environment. He did not try to change the way the great trees grew or the rain that fell on the great trees. He did not try to change the flow of the great current rivers in the forest. He let the forest control him and how he lived. He was happy as the great trees streamlined his body and made him a more efficient walker, more sleek, more beautiful, a better fit into his forest environment. He was happy because he was at peace with himself and the world in which he had chosen to live in harmony. He sought out his personal Spirit Tree and developed a true relationship with herm (her/him). He became one with the forest and began to protect it, becoming a Guardian of the Forest. Coming soon - More of the story of Forestman
