What is Tourism Development and Why Is Honduras ideal?

A country that is ready for tourism development is one that is not overdeveloped.  Chances are the infrastructure is in the process of being developed.  Roads are not perfect and most of the good sites have never been visited because there are no roads  All the things people complain about mean opportunities for you.   Many many places are available that could be developed for all kinds of tourism.  Such a country is Honduras.  Let me share with you some of the possible tourism developments that could occur.

1.  There are campesino huts made of adobe for rustic camping.  There are many lagoons waiting for water based tourism projects on the North Coast of Honduras.  There is an opal mine community in the western mountains waiting for an adventure tourism project for rock hounds to develop a hostel and fee digging project. 

2.  In Tegucigalpa, the capital there are many local sightseeing projects, including national parks with endangered species, all which await development. Thousands of potential tourism projects await in  Intibuca where pine trees tower over the mountains that are just waiting for mountain biking, boarding and paragliding.  

3.  Try developing tourism projects in Choluteca, where once mahogany trees grew in dense forests.  Now only sorghum grows because it is too dry for corn.  This area is crying out for the development of carbon credit forest projects or any other kind of restoration forestry or tree-planting ecotourism project.

4. Again lets go to visit the Lenca nation in Intibuca, the unknown state of Honduras. There are people living in the North Coast of Honduras who do not even know this state exists.  There are so many ways to develop projects in Intibuca that we are developing a Camino Lenca with many potential tourism projects just waiting for tourism investors.
