Kenaf in the ecoparadise of Belize

I’d like to invite you to share with me in developing kenaf growing in the ecoparadise of Central America in Belize. My name is Jeydi Ortiz and I am developing a project called Kenaf Participating Planters. This program is designed to create a viable ecologically sound environmental industry based on a) growing kenaf for seed, fiber and livestock feed; b) developing a kenaf artisan program and 3) developing kenaf tourism that brings people to Belize to grow and learn how to process kenaf in an ecologically sound way.

In order to do this, I am offering four kenaf projects

1) OPTION A - EPB OWNS THE Plantations AND LEASES Kenaf Participating Planter (KPP) THE OUTPUT - EPB WORKS THE plantation

In this option, you do not own the land, just the output of the kenaf project. We work the plantation for you, send you weekly updates and photos of your Plantations and you may come at harvest time to visit. EPB does all the work of seed purchase, land preparation, planting, cultivating, harvesting and preparing the crop for market. You may take possession of the output or EPB can market for you.

2. OPTION B. - EPB OWNS THE Plantations AND LEASES KPP THE OUTPUT - KPP TRAVEL TO BELIZE AND WORKS THE plantation

You are leasing the use of the land for farming for two years. You may come at any time to live near the plantation and work it. You do all the work of seed purchase, land preparation, planting, cultivating, harvesting and preparing the crop for market. You may take possession of the output or EPB can market for you.   In this option, you do not own the land, just the output of the kenaf project.

OPTION C LEASE TO PURCHASE LAND -- EPB WORKS THE Plantations

Here you are purchasing land planted with kenaf on a two year contract. Ownership will be conveyed to you upon completion of your total investment. This is a potentially very lucrative option because you may complete the final payment from the output of your project.

OPTION D LEASE TO PURCHASE LAND-- WORK YOUR OWN Plantations

Here you are purchasing land planted with kenaf on a two year contract. Ownership will be conveyed to you upon completion of your total investment. This is a potentially very lucrative option because you may complete the final payment from the output of your project.

Presently we are seeking to find associates who want to work with us on a joint venture basis. What we are developing is a kenaf joint venue where you will participate with us in our kenaf plantation we are developing

1 cutting livestock feed - 1 ton green chopped feed to sell in local market or feed through animals - $150
10 tons fiber
3.5 ton bast - $290 = $1015
6.5 tons core - $25 made into exported horse bedding = 162
Seeds - 1000 lbs @ $10 = $10,000
1000 lbs @ $20= $20,000

Potential gross returns = $11327 per acre to $22327
