In order to participate in international tournaments, many miles away from your home, your family, your friends and your culture, you will be expected to demonstrate your character. A key reason for developing these tournaments and activities is to create cross cultural communications.
Not everyone is suited for cross cultural soccer travel. In order to succeed in this tournament, you need to be open to meeting with, playing soccer with and making friendships with players from other countries. In addition, in order for you to come to this tournament you must sign a contract to abstain from alcohol, drugs, sex and other inappropriate activities. You are in Honduras to play soccer, to talk soccer, to learn about new ways to play soccer and develop soccer programs.
This tournament is the beginning in the development of a worldwide community of AfroHeritage Footballers from Africa, the Caribbean Islands, Central and South America. Because this first tournament will set the stage for future tournaments ( in two years we plan to hold the tournament in an African country). it is important that players have high standards and good character,
Before a team can be admitted to this tournament, each player must bring a character letter of recommendation from a teacher, a coach, a Sunday school teacher or a respected adult in the community or tribe.
