When they tell me their name I use it and then I say- tell me about yourself, Janet How did you get involved in (whatever the event). The key to this is to really be interested in the person. When I do this I look at the person and try to see the inner spirit of them. I believe that they really want to connect with me. And I seek to open myself up to them to connect with me.
