The World Is Facing Global Warming

Global Warming and the greenhouse effect is caused by all of us. Here's how it works. Cars, people, animals, factories all give off Carbon Dioxide and other greenhouse gases. All of these sites or units take in oxygen from the air and give off Carbon Dioxide or Carbon Monoxide and other greenhouse gases.

These gases cause the greenhouse effect which is making the Earth hotter, causing more hurricanes and droughts around the world. They cause this by keeping the heat coming in from the sun from bouncing back into space. Thus the more gases, the more heat is kept near the Earth.

As the world reels from floods throughout Europe, and storms rage throughout the USA, politicians still say, "We can't be sure that global warming really exists". The more torrential rains, floods, unusual weather, droughts and flood occur, those who profit from carbon emissions refuse to see the truth. Chances are they have the data but simply cannot afford to admit the truth.

CO2 with Sunlight and Water becomes:

a) oxygen which we can breathe
b) carbon which we can store in trees, plants and soils
c) Carbohydrates which we can eat

Every time you breathe, eat, use your car, use any product manufactured in a factory you are emitting carbon dioxide into the air. You re contributing to greenhouse gases and global warming. As an American you put up to 30 tons of carbon ANNUALLY into the atmosphere, the largest percent of any nation in the world. You owe a tremendous carbon debt.

Those of us have faced the truth know that it is up to us to change the scenario. Sustainable tourism is being used as the major method of sustainable development. We at the International Sports Adventure Institute seek to enable those who practice Sports Adventure Tourism to do it in a sustainable way. We are dedicated to halting global warming and planting trees for carbon sequestration.

Tree Cutting and Deforestation Is Combining With Industrial Emissions To Cause The Greenhouse Effect

As Global Warming increases, when rays of sunlight come in, and there are many clouds made up of greenhouse gases, most of the heat is not radiated back outside the Earth’s lower atmosphere. That is why on cloudy nights it is so much warmer than on clear nights.

Greenhouse Gases Keep Heat Rays Close To The Earth

Thus global warming increases and accelerates. As more trees are cut, this adds to gas buildup of carbon in the atmosphere. As carbon emissions rise, trees are cut and greenhouse gases accumulate, temperature & sea level will rise also.

ECOSAT Design is ISAI's new discipline which has as its goals: a) Stopping global warming, b) Lowering carbon and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere c) Preventing further greenhouse effect changes, d) Halting climate change and e) Providing long term carbon storage and sequestering through a massive worldwide tree planting campaign.

This unique tournament offers soccer players an opportunity to play in an international tournament, enjoy cross cultural activities, and participate with Honduran youth in tree planting projects of the Liga Menor de Futbol Intibucana. As part of the Honduras Youth Soccer Project, young soccer players of the Liga Menor plant trees in the name of donors of soccer equipment to the Liga Menor. By holding a cleat drive to collect soccer gear for the Liga Menor, young soccer players in the USA receive free membership in the Youth Soccer Leaders Program (YSLP). All players in this tournament who bring a soccer uniform as a donation to the Liga Menor will receive free membership in the YSLP. WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?

Our weather is created by this world ocean in connection with its air interface. This water/air interface is in dynamic equilibrium, as water evaporates from the waters of our planet, become air in the form of water vapor, rises, condenses, fall as rain, rain then falls on the Earth surface, runs off and returns to the World ocean.

This state of dynamic equilibrium is called the world weather pattern. The equilibrium point of this world weather system is determined by the mean temperature of our Earth. When the mean worldwide temperature moves out of a certain range, and is lowered, we have an ice age. If the Mean worldwide temperature increases we have global warming.

Today we have 6 billion people, billions of livestock, millions of automobiles, many factories. Green house gases are building up. IF the global weather/air system moves from its present equilibrium point., massive disruption in world weather patterns may occur. Some Possible results might be:

The Gulf Stream changes its path, misses England & leads to much colder temperatures
The Jet Stream changes it path creating widespread droughts, colder or hotter temperatures in North America
El Niño and La Niña could fluctuate leading to changes in offshore currents, loss of offshore fisheries worldwide and massive starvation
Multiple killer hurricanes every year
More and more earthquakes
Increased volcanic activities
Increased tornadic activity
Rainfall pattern shifts throughout the world
Higher temperatures worldwide
Melting of polar ice, inundation of coasts and loss of much land leading to loss of much real property
Massive dislocation of worldwide wildlife and loss of habitat
