What about the wastes and litter produced by your participants.  Can you dedicate one place in the river, rock it in or use unobtrusive bricks so that the rest of the river does not erode away?

Sustainable Tourism

Dr. Carol Cross is a plant ecologist by training, having received an earned doctorate in plant ecology from the University of Oregon.  The problem of sustainability has to be on the hearts and minds of every thinking person on our planet.  As we look around our world. the deforestation, the desertification and the destruction of the ambience of our world, we know that must find a sustainable way of economic development.  Sustainable Tourism is an idea whose time has come, a necessary reversal of our wastefulness, destructiveness and lack of stewardship.

There is no longer a place on our planet for the wasteful, ruthless destruction our species has engaged in as exploiters in the past.  We at ISAI are dedicated to developing our LEEAF  projects and programs in a sustainable manner.

But we are not LEEAF isfied to just "Do No Harm", we intend to repair. We will not just plant enough trees to offset our own carbon debts, we will plant 10 times even 100 times the trees needed.  We intend to be proactive in actively regenerating our planet through our activities.

Worldwide Real Estate Consultancy Services

Real estate is basic.  Real estate gives wealth, prestige and power. Real estate is the reason most wars are fought.  Having your own piece of property, no matter how humble, gives a sense of freedom.  As we say, "A person without property is like a refugee in his own country". At any time he or she can be forced to move, land and property rent can be increased to unbearable levels, and there is no security. As a result of lack of land access, campesinos slip into the forest, squat on land, and cut trees illegally.

Everyone should own a home of their own.  It doesn't matter if is a small bamboo hut with mud floors and hammocks for sleeping.  Buy a piece of land if at all possible. Live with family members and save the money. Undergo any indignity but get a piece of land.  Control your spending. Save your money.

In the USA, use the power of leverage to buy a home, tourism  property, commercial or other piece of property.  Save your money for the down payment.  There are even programs for you to buy a home through sweat equity, through no money down, fix up programs.  But own your own home. Raise your children on a piece of land you own and control.

Internationals and immigrants especially need to think about the utility of owning a home in the USA.  When conditions in your country becomes unbearable because of political turmoil, guerrilla movements, currency devaluation, a piece of land in the States could be your family's salvation.  Dr. Cross can counsel you about buying properties in Arizona, as well as the Immigrant Investor program where you can buy land and business costing 2 million dollars.  After 2 years, you can then be able to apply for a Green Card as long as you keep the investment and business development project going.

Although a tourism project can be developed on rented, or leased land, try to get ownership of a property as soon as possible. Owning your own piece of property means you can develop it in a sustainable fashion.  You can plant the trees, plant the vetiver, compost with earthworms,  put in solar systems or wind systems. Many landlords will not allow you to do this.  Or if they do, they will then tell you must move, leaving behind the trees you have planted and other improvements.  Or even more outrageously, they may say because of the upgraded nature of the property, the rent must be raised.

So start off immediately you begin thinking of a sports project to contact Dr. Carol Cross and find out what kind of LEEAF  project you want to do and then what are the real estate needs. Different projects may require differing amounts of land and types of land.  Dr. Carol Cross through her affiliation with the La Compañia de Deportes Y Turismo, S De R. L. worldwide can find you the property you need.

Carbon Sequestration Projects For Halting Climate Change

The most dangerous result of our technological society is its effect on the gases in our atmosphere and the resultant increase in carbon emissions.  These emissions are leading to climate change or global warming. Global warming could cause the icebergs, the Arctic and Antarctic ice packs to melt, creating a water world.

Throughout our planet's history, drastic climate changes have occurred.  The last time we experienced such an event, many life forms went extinct.  The climate of the planet changed.  The ecosystems, the life forms as they previously existed went extinct.  That could happen to us.

It is our mission to develop Leucaena tree plantings throughout the tropics, integrate tree planting with community development by enabling campesino groups to develop carbon sequestration programs for economic development.

Soccer Tourism Training

Soccer Tourism can be the most viable form of sustainable tourism only if people all over the world gain the skills they need.  Our training program is unique because it integrates many kinds of know-how into a multifaceted program.  This is a program that is promulgated by a person of color, who has lived in developing countries most of her life.  Dr. Carol Cross grew up in a Afro-Indian subsistence farming culture in the US South, has traveled in Latin America and worked with everyone from campesinos to the elites.

Just one of the unique components of ISAI training program is the development of the role-playing world called Arboleña which is derived from her travels in Latin America. This component of the training is based on storytelling, which was a vital component of the youth of the founder.  The Arboleña novella  is designed to be an enjoyable way to learn how to create a Soccer Tourism business, family consortium and community development. Each of the characters is developed from friends she has made in her travels.

To find out more about this unique approach to learning the skills of Sports Adventure Tourism, go to information on the Honduras Soccer Tourism Seminars.

English As A Second Language Programs

A key to success in tourism businesses is to develop facility in American English.  American tourists want to hear their own language. They want  guides who speak English with fluency and can communicate with them.  They need the skills of speaking American English and understanding American conversational English.

You need to learn how to write your tourism marketing literature in Standard American English. American tourists are demanding a new level of communication from you. Maybe it's unfair.  But that they way it is. You will have to accommodate them to get their money.  It's as simple as that.

That is why we have developed the English for Economic Development (EED)  program.  EED  is being developed as the global language of Soccer Tourism.  EED   will be the interface language of Soccer Tourism and sports adventure.  EED   will enable Soccer Tourism   participants, customers, entrepreneurs, government agencies and organization staff from many countries to understand each other and to speak to each other with fluency.

We call EED  the ever-changing language.  Every day there is a new way of experiencing sports adventure. New names, new method of playing, new methods of experiencing, new vocabulary.  If you are going to succeed in the world of Soccer Tourism, you are going to have to learn American English Conversational Speech.  You will need to learn the language and vocabulary of your participants.  You will develop colleagues around the world that you meet through the internet, at seminars, workshops and meetings.

We are constantly adding new words from every language in the world - 500,000 words in the 70’s to 750,000 words in the 90’s. Because of this, EED  is a living language, which enables  athletes, owners, participants, and fans to have seamless, fluent interchanges.

As you utilize this learning system, you get skills for effective Interactions with trading partners in Soccer Tourism, sports, adventure, joint ventures, tourism,  technology transfer, negotiations, and other types of international business.

In order for ISAI to develop its complete mission of facilitating Soccer Tourism as a means of sustainable development, we must all meet on a level playing field.   And in our seminars, courses, private lessons, we have developed a program based on the vocabulary of Soccer Tourism.  In our advanced course we use the Arboleña  novellas as the basis for learning American English.

In 2005 we offer two special EED English Intensives:

These seminars run in the mornings. You may enroll for both these Seminars if your wish.

Community Building & Community Consortiums

To succeed in Soccer Tourism, especially in a developing country requires you to understand and deal with poverty problems in your area.  If you do not, you will find your project being targeted for stealing, looting and vandalism. And in these highly politicized times, you may find your project picketed and on international TV as the bad guy.

You are going to have to be Proactive and set out to build positive relationship with the community even before your project opens . If you want to develop a Soccer Tourism Business Incubator or a SportAvenTour Complex, you are going to have to get government approval.  You might as well start out with developing a community consortium to bring local people into your project.  It might even make sense to set up a community advisory council.  At the least support community projects, such as sponsoring a youth soccer league.

When You Enlist ISAI, you get Dr. Carol Cross

Dr. Carol Cross is the author of the Soccer Tourism Training Modules used in the Soccer Tourism Business Seminars in Honduras. In addition is the author of the Leucaena Production Handbook.  She is a motivational speaker, a presenter of a unique environmental entrepreneurship program for your group. The new productivity focus includes the Family Business Enabler Program which enables Immigrants in the USA to work with their family back home to develop a successful business.

Dr. Cross brings to your firm her common sense approach to the sustainable development puzzle. Her programs are focused on how she can help individuals, businesses, governments and non profits alike, deploy Soccer Tourism as a means of sustainable development. She is also focused opening this sustainable field to all, and is willing to assist individuals, government agencies and groups to uncover ways to tap into the unusual skills and world views of multicultural tourism staff.

It’s all based on her past experiences, education, travels internationally, ideals and goals. Her speeches to inspire pull together the energies of many individuals, people who may not even know each other, and create a unidirectional energy flow that leads to a unified course of action.

Dr. Cross had a positive, self esteem building, happy childhood. She is an AfroIndian who grew up in a rural community in the South. Her childhood was filled with freedom of choice. She was an only child, living in an area that changed from farming to forestry during her life.  She saw the succession of plant and animal life.   She roamed the woods and developed an avid love of learning. This love of learning culminated in her receiving an earned doctorate from the University of Oregon. She earned her Ph.D. in biology with specialization as a plant ecologist.

She has traveled and worked in Latin America for many years. She lived with many groups including aristocrats in mansions as well as peasants in mud floor adobe huts. She has friendships with Indians, Latinos, Black Caribs, Spanish, Chinese, Lebanese, Isleños and other ethnic groups. She has created a new field called ISAI Soccer Tourism based on her love for soccer, her integrative know-how of plant ecology, agriculture, forestry, small scale economic development and business.

Soccer Tourism is thus the study of cross cultural interactions and methods of sustainable development that must eventually involve all of us as entrepreneurs, participants, governments, and organizations which must be open to all human Mind Clones or populations.

As a result her approach to development is different.  She grew up on a subsistence farm, without electricity.  As recently as 1995 she lived on that farm, still without electricity, while she developed and refined her ideas about ECOSAT   Design and Soccer Tourism.

She sees our exploitation of our planet as a natural consequence of our evolutionary history. It has been passed down by the transfer of Memory Chips in our brains from generation to generation. As a result, she does not condemn the group of people she calls Exploiter. She does not see Exploiters as bad persons, just people who have been trained in Pleistocene ideas.

In the Pleistocene there were less than 1 million of us humans.  Neanderthal man had a population of no more than 350,000.  Our impact on the environment was negligible.  We had no technologies so we functioned in a natural manner, just like the other organisms in the world system.  And most of the planet was completely unpopulated by humans and covered by forests.  The Exploitive part of our psyche could drive the evolution of civilization and only have local effect on environmental integrity.  And we could then migrate to other areas and allow the land to recover.

Now there are over 6 billion of us.  If our populations continues to grow, the carrying capacity of our planet will be exceeded. And industrial life has and continues to contribute to Global Warming, endangering the life of all of us. Our destructive tree removal and driving to extinction of our fellow Earth life forms is accelerating.  Even the animals of the sea are dying, entangled in our fishing lines.  And we are over fishing, not giving the resource a chance to recover.

Our destructive logging practices are denuding the world's forest, threatening the life giving rainforests, destroying its lungs.  And when forest fires breakout e do not contain, simply letting them burn into large and larger conflagrations.  This is a negative evaluation of what we as a species has done.

Can we turn ourselves around? In our recent history, we have functioned as animals gone amuck.  Unfortunately, with the addition of our ever more sophisticated technology, we become a threat to ourselves and to all life on our planet.  At one time we lived in harmony with our planet. That was easy to do when there was so few of us.  We could easily migrate away from an overpopulated area into a wide open, unpolluted area if things got to bad in the environment.  But there are no more unpopulated areas to go to.

Can we truly evolve? Can we use our forebrains and take command of our destiny and the destiny of our planet?  We are the thinkers, the controllers.  Can we find a way for all of the organisms on our planet to live, peacefully, within the resource constraints we have?

Are we flexible enough to adjust our thinking, change our inner beliefs about our "rights to exploit"  and begin thinking like organisms in a resource constrained environment?   What do the thinking ones of our populations do when we have resource constraints?  If we lose the job we have or the economy slows down, what do we do?  Don't we tighten our belts, look around for ways to save and use less resources?  Don't we stop being wasteful, start looking at our wastefulness and try to find a way to live within our budgets?

We are all going to have to do that. If we are to create a sustainable world, we are going to have to stop acting as though we have unlimited resources and see that a whole new way of living, based on "finite resource availability"  has got to be developed.

Remember, there are 6 billion of us.  Every single one of us has got to find a way to provide for our basic needs. All the wars that have ever been fought is for control of land.  The wars we see raging in our world today are about territory.  But there is only so much usable land and so many of us. We are going to have to find a way to successfully interface the need for ownership of property (an idea as old as most of the organisms on our planet) with the needs of us all.

Territory, ownership of piece of land is a basic need, whether we are plant, animal, bird or human.

Because many of these 6 billion people will go to bed hungry tonight, the security of all of us is threatened.  People will fight for land and for a way to grow food.  And the poor in developing countries must have a way to sustain themselves. We must find a way for sustainable development to occur.

There will never be equal distribution of resources. Nor should they be.  While you are developing your Soccer Tourism business, you are thinking about expanding, about increasing your net worth.  The purpose of being in business is to make a profit and make your family secure, safe.  It is just that ecology kicking in again.  The more money and resources you command, the better your quality of life, the more opportunities and chances for your child to live better, longer and in better health.

Those how have the financial, technical or intellectual capital will continue to hold a higher percentage of the resources.  But in your own self interest, those who are developing Soccer Tourism businesses must make sustainable development, the development of community a priority.

If we do our job well in our Soccer Tourism business, we will make money and lots of it.  We will continue learning, taking more and more courses, developing more and more contacts and building our market base.  We will gain wealth, attain prestige and have power.

We will be given much by the universe because our Soccer Tourism businesses will give a great deal of happiness.  We will achieve.  But as the saying goes, "To whom much is given, much will be expected".   The wealthier we become, the more necessary that we develop and support youth sports projects, finance community need such as water and other systems, put in a local library. That is the only way to guarantee the safety of ourselves, our family, and our project.

No one can afford to develop a lucrative Soccer Tourism business in an area of abject poverty and expect the poor not to flow onto our lands, cut down our trees and steal our foods.  They will do it if they are desperate. Thus our version of ECOSAT   Design means bringing true economic development to an area as a part of our own insurance policy.

As a Soccer Tourism business, you become a leader in the movement to bring us from Exploiter to Sustainer in our thinking,  That means your project will include educational programs for local children and developing your project to include community development.

ISAI seeks to help all of us to begin to find the "one Point of Mutual Agreement’ so that sustainable development can become our new way of life. Communication is the key to the development of community.  There must be a profit center if sustainable development is to happen. Those who are barely surviving cannot afford to think about tomorrow.

No one can live a life of high ideals if they are starving.  Thus our ECOSAT   Design model must including making our successful Soccer Tourism business serve as a means of sharing ideas, resources and the knowhow for many people to begin to increase their quality of life.  Then and only then will development become sustainable.

This business centered approach makes ISAI the ideal group to help you, your community, and your government create successful Soccer Tourism businesses.  Dr. Cross and ISAI brings this profit centered, yet environmentally grounded approach to Soccer Tourism based development.  It's a total package that integrates profit centered business with community development with ecological principles. Some unique components include:

a) ISAI’s program does not condemn anyone for their actions or their ancestors exploitive actions in the past

b) ISAI understands human behavior is the result of the memory chips they have received from family, school, TV, and other societal forces

c) ISAI has a wide variety of unique programs to help both Soccer Tourism entrepreneurs,  local people, government agencies and non profit agencies to understand that all of our myriad kinds of Mind Clones must participate if we are to transform from Exploiter to Sustainer

d)  ISAI's program enables you to integrate all the people of your community into a community consortium and provide a sustainable development model that will help all of your people

e) ISAI offers a unique Arboleña worldspace for role playing activities

f) ISAI can help you make this the year you as an individual, non profit organization, government agency of business begin to tap into the sustainable development potential of Soccer Tourism.

Soccer Tourism Business Seminars - 2005

Honduras Interactive Distance Learning

If you have thought about developing a Soccer Tourism project in your country, chances are it is a pioneering experience.  There are many untested conditions in your country for Soccer Tourism.

These Mistakes Can Put You Out Of Business Fast

You may try to develop yourSoccer Tourism project but don't understand SATREAL Analysis and locate on a flood plain.  You do not make sure you actually own the piece of land you put your Soccer Tourism project on. After you build and start doing business, you find that you have been sold the land by someone who is not the owner and the actual owner is living in the States and comes home and takes over everything you have built on his property.  You need to make sure you get title to your land.  That means buying in a country like Honduras with a professional Realtor like Dr. Carol Cross.

Other Non- Productive Things Untrained Soccer Tourism Entrepreneurs Do

You do not work with the community so people cut down your trees... You use insecticides that leaves unacceptable residues on the food you serve. ...Soil tests  or SATReal Analyses were not performed so the land cannot take the impact of the number of visitors and erodes away... Water needs of the people coming was not figured into the cost balance sheet ...The water you have is wasted because drip irrigation system wasn't used..Equipment and supplies is ruined by untrained workers... You didn't plan so you do not have a steady and sufficient supply of raw materials. . You can't get financing without a written business plan... . You don't know where to obtain high quality reconditioned equipment at the best prices...You do not know how to train your employees in self esteem building...You do not know how to market through the internet...You don't use the right real estate company so you pay too much for your land.

You don't need these headaches

You Get what you need with ISAI
