countries
to manufacture Burlap or Hessian Sacks. The US Department of Agriculture
(USDA) has chosen Kenaf as the best Non-wood fibers for pulping that can
be used as best substitute for papermaking. In addition Kenaf is being
used more and more extensively for the manufacturing of biocomposites.

EnviroFiber Technologies is determined to serve as a nexus. Our vision is
to see kenaf reach its great potential as a sustainable development
engine. Kenaf is an agricultural crop that was domesticated about 6000
years ago in the Sudan. It has many many uses. It is just beginning its
industrial uses but its future is unlimited. Right now all over the world
about 1,700,000 acres of kenaf are being grown. That is usually grown by a
small holder and backyard growers. China has over 250,000 acres but is
planning to grow millions of acres of kenaf. For millennia kenaf has been
used for rope, food, twine and sackcloth. Kenaf combines environmentalism
with the vast need for the most important component of civilized society,
paper. At the same time it can help mitigate climate change being driven
by deforestation. It's a win-win plant.
EnviroFiber Technologies plans to be the leader in production of kenaf
fibers for transforming world markets of paper making, fiberboard
manufacture and automobile interiors toward sustainability.
