Teams Enrolling in By May Participate In Free Four Hour Workshop Given Personally By Dr. Carol Cross "Marketing Skills For Players, Teams and Coaches"

This short Honduras Youth Soccer Leaders Tournament Team and Visa Application is designed from teams who want to assure they are able to attend the 2008 International Youth Soccer Leaders Tournament In Florida .in August 2008.   The  "2008 International Youth Soccer Leaders Tournament In Florida " an International Youth Soccer Tournament will take place from August 1, 2008 to August 15, 2008 in South Florida (Tentatively . in scheduled for Miami Gardens).  Florida is become the US soccer capital because so many soccer players from Latin America and Africa live there bringing their soccer traditions.  They bring their practice culture and train to become soccer players who develop stamina, fantastic legs and strength.   The first game will be played on Saturday, August 2, 2008.  We have devised this new short application for teams who want to ensure they are able to play in this historic tournament.

For International Teams Only: ** Destination Visas Must be affixed to your passport in order for you to obtain transit visas. Please complete and send in the above application with visa fees as soon as possible.  You will receive instructions on which embassy and airline you are to use once visa arrangements are made. Because of the time constraints, please submit your visa application and fees as soon as possible to allow enough time.  Getting a visa to come to the USA is time consuming and costly.  We use an attorney who specializes in P1 & P2 visas.

This short application process is necessary due to the number of visas that need to be processed for the tournament. To use this short form - complete is, send in the team application fee and $225 per visa application for each player, coach, manager of accompanying person. As soon as we receive these fees, we send them an official invitation from Soccer For Life, Inc.

The rest of the fees and forms( participation fee of $450 per player for room, board, transportation within Honduras, trophy, etc) required can then be submitted upon your acceptance. You must complete all the following and send to

 International Teams: No application will be considered unless accompanied by the Tournament Registration Fee of US$375.00 and the payment of the Visa Application fees per player, coach or companion is $225 per player, which includes preparation of VISA  and presentation to Immigration office. No Visa fee required from US teams.

The Tournament Committee will post a list, on the website, each week of teams entered into each tournament. If you do not see your team name on the list within two weeks of sending in your application, you should contact the State Office to verify.

According to the Soccer For Life Risk Management Policy, Disclosure Forms must be on file for all persons working with the team to include coach, assistant coach, trainer and team manager and these individuals must have and display the blue Risk Management Badge to be on the sideline during the competition.

Honduras Soccer Volunteer Program

Soccer For Life is a 501 (C)( 3), a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the world’s most popular sport available to all the children of the Western Hemisphere. We need old soccer balls, shin guards, old soccer shirts and shorts, repair them, hold fund-raisers and develop training and coaching for Honduran street and mountain children.

Setting Up the Intibuca Youth Soccer Center

Soccer For Life is planning to set up the Intibuca Youth Soccer Center for our teams we will be developing. Because of the fact that many of our Youth-At-Risk have not yet learned the social manners of those in mainstream youth leagues and soccer clubside, we feel that thee youths should play among themselves until they gains better social skills.

We will be teaching soccer skills, social skills and character skills such as teamwork, dealing with anger and self control.

You are Invited To Participate

In order to do this project, it will be necessary to create a supportive community. That is why we are inviting you to become a Soccer Youth Supporter.

The boxes should be no bigger than 22"x22"x22". Place items inside plastic garbage bags and close them before putting the soccer gear in the boxes. The boxes will be shipped by boat and this ensures they do not get wet. The boxes should be labeled with two labels:

The donated items must be itemized on the Donation Invoice Sheet. A copy must be placed in each box as well as a separate copy must be sent to Dr. Cross.  Make sure when you send her the envelope of the donation sheets, you tell her it is for the Soccer for Life Donation project.

Soccer For Life Has A New North American Director To Head The Soccer Gear Donation Project, Chris Watkins.  He is a home schooled student in Florida who has just finished a year in Honduras as an Intibuca Soccer Volunteer.  Chris first visited Intibuca when he was six years old.  Chris is a soccer referee, and specializes in Goal Keeper training.  Chris is considered a "geek or techie' and is called the "Gentle Giant" because he is over 6 feet tall at 17 years old and also because of his gentle style of coaching of young players.  Chris is an avid gamer, operates through his own website the MOTILES Gaming nexus under the name of magelord-keeper.  His goal in life is to be a video game developer. He is presently the "go to" guy for any computer or technology needs of Soccer for Life. He has learned a lot in Honduras, playing both with teams and in the streets,  including what is called the Honduran Way of Soccer.  He is presently playing in the Liga Mayor team Atletico Lenca which is registered with FENAFUTH.  He has been asked to tryout for the second division professional team Atletico Esperanzano in January.  He is helping to develop the Honduran Soccer Mastery program  for the Ligas de la Comunidades Intibucanas.  He will be interested in communicating by email with gamers in the Far Cry world, Battlefield 2 world and the Guild Wars world.  Chris is an important part of distributing your soccer gear in Honduras  through the donation concursos he runs.
