That gift is not something we ourselves created. This gift was given to us by Spirit in the place where we were designed to be a healing force for our world. Our world needs healing. Marketing through a Community Based Marketing can lead to Word of Mouth Ambassadors for your product or services. It's just like the experiments made by Pavlov when conditioning a dog. The scientist, Ivan Pavlov, rang a bell every time he fed the dog. At first the dog would salivate when the food appeared. Stage one - food plus bell = salivate. But after many times when the two items were presented together, he was able to make the dog salivate without the food, with only the bell. Bell alone = salivate. He had created an associated memory chip in the dog's brain that told him if he heard the bell it was positively associated with getting food. What does your art do for a customers? If you can understand that you will know where the people are who can be healed by what you create. What is the purpose of your artworks? How do they work within a person to heal them. What are the benefits they get from your art?

When you are in flow of creation, you feel the energy flow through you. Sometimes it makes you more invigorated, more animated. Some creative outflows shock you, reach deep within you and energize parts of you you didn't know existed. Some of your customers may need this energizing experience. Perhaps they are depressed, some may be in turmoil, others may need to relax and feel at peace.

Art can provide a safe place, a serene place. Or it may provide a provocative experience, evoking long dormant thoughts and feelings. The same piece of art work may reach deep within one person and have no effect on another person.

So who are the people who need your work and how do you find them.

disrespect. Many of our people have been the object of prejudice, discrimination and even cruelty. You know what it feels like to be discriminated against, to be be treated as though you have no value. And that's why you are a Spirit Conduit Artist will make sure they treat customers with respect. Customer s a vital part of the spirit Conduit Triad. Because they are the source of your income and your relationships with them makes the difference between starving and being able to serve your world, it is vital to treat them with respect.

There is a saying, "Most men live lives of quiet desperation". 1 out of three girls and one out of of 5 boys were sexually abused as a child. One out of every two marriages ends in divorce. Traffic is increasing in he valley. As jobs go offshore, many people are concerned about economic security. After September 11, American are fearful and uncertain. The wars in Iraq, Afghanistan have terrified many people. Add that to problems of home invasions, creasing fear of global warming, and other fears. And in addition, most of us hear self esteem destructive words every day. . Put that together with the transit nature of our society thus leading to the lack of community, and you have a people who can be transferred across the country at many time, moving from job to job, school to school, c=church to church. Where do we belong? where are the people who we know for years and have formed ties with?

We live in a fast moving, short term state, transition society. And in Arizona, people move more often than most. We have little stability, little sense of belonging and no source of continuity. They are not safe, they do not feel connected, and they have a deep need for someone to tell them they are okay, they have something to offer, they belong, they are worthwhile.

Your customers come from a competitive rat race, a world in which they never feel safe, they In recent year, economic problems have eroded what security they once had. Even though they may live well, they are living with the knowledge that they are fighting for their economic survival.

These are your customers, If you give them the respect, the community they seek, they will not only be your customers, they will become your Word of Mouth Ambassadors.

Learning The Story Of My Customers Helps Me Serve Their Needs

If you want to market to people you are a going to have to be willing to learn a little bit about them as a people. Learn about their life history and then you will learn to respect them. Marketing Through listening is this part of your marketing approach.

Listen to their story. Ask them about their childhood, their dreams, their desires, their feelings, their problems. People will talk if you will listen,. Its just a mater of being quiet for a while and letting them speak. And as A Spirit Conduit Artist, you know how to be quiet. Just let the silence be a companionable one. Do not hurry them way. Have a desire to learn what their story is and you can weave that into the marketing plan.

5. Marketing Way Eight

My Customers Need More Than Just My Art

I was talking to a colleague about getting people to come to a Hispanic craft show. They said, I don't feel like the people really want me to come. When we get there they just speak Spanish with their friends, and ignore us. Sometimes they point at us and I know they are talking about us. They say things like, they don't understand our culture. They don't like our colors.

I tried to explain to my Hispanic clients that the people who had come to the show were their customers. Their purpose at the show was not to meet their old friends and speak in Spanish so the customers felt left out. They were there to host the customers.

I explained to them to no avail. They kept talking in Spanish to the friends instead of reaching out to customers. I tried to explain to them, that if customers don't really feel that they will be welcomed by you, they will not come again. You are not creating Word of Mouth Ambassadors.

Understand that these customers were sent to you by Spirit through the marketing mediums you have used. When you send out marketing materials, work within a marketing community, utilize your Word of Mouth Ambassadors, only certain contacts are attracted to you no matter what you have done. Not everyone will come no matter what you do. So the people who have come, have come to you to be healed.

 

 

 

 

 

Your customers need more than just a painting, a sculpture, a piece of jewelry, a wall hanging or someone of the pieces of art. They need to be validated, to be given of your heart and spirit. That means some project for youth in your community, for th environment, for the agenda, for disabled persons, you see by creating your own superordinate goal, you have a superordinate goal to pull your customers into,. And once you have a project that involves your customers, you can give them a chance to be satisfied. You can give them recognition, build their self esteem and learn what you need to know to maximize your sales to them through that group.

I don't know how many of you remember the Gold stars you used to get when you succeeded in something at school, maybe that was before your time, but I remember how hard I worked for those hold star, the teacher has list posted on the wall and when you got a gold star, it went up on that board, some of us had long lines of stars, others had no stars at all. hard we worked for those gold stars.

Now I went to school when they were segregated, so the black and Indian people of our community were deeply involve in the school, every year we held a track meet, there are all kinds of events from foot races to potato races to sack races. This event brought together schools from all over the state, but in addition tot he outdoor activities, there were the indoor events, spelling contest, reading contests, math contest, and other academic events. I remember how hard we worked to be ready for these events. I always won the blue ribbon for reading. No one could touch me.

Because the school was controlled by the community, when the awards were given out, all sort of family and friend were there. It was one of the big events in the community. So getting that award was fantastic. We only got a a ribbon. But you would wore winning ribbon all year long. Everyone knew who you were. All of the adults in the community knew you then. When you went to town, they would stop and tell you how proud of you they were. You could wear the ribbon to school, and people would be reminded of your success. This was an exciting event, and I can remember getting those rewards even today. Each year I started out after the wards preparing myself to win the next year. And I always did.

That reward system had all the things needed for an effective recognition system

1. You had to make an effort to win . To enter the event required that you had already won in your school. So if you won, you knew you deserved to win

2. Your recognition was given the presence of your peers

3. People in authority acknowledged your succeed

4. You were allowed to continue to wear you recognition badge all year

5. you understood that if you kept working, you could win again

Many times the people have an inner wish for healing. Many of them have been seekers who have read spiritual development materials alone for years. They may have been in New Age Groups or attended New Thought churches. But they still do not have what they needed.

No matter how many meetings they have gone to or meditations they have done, they still are not full inside. That is because the leaders of these groups are not true Spirit Conduit Artists. They do not understand people;s need for high self esteem. And they do not have permission to be happy. All their lives they have been disciplined, taught through fear, controlled by withholding love and self regard. Our permitteds are the things we can do and feel we are okay. Our parents, our schools and our communities have taught us what we are permitted to do. They control us with these permitteds.

Because most people have been controlled by withheld love, self esteem, regards and approval, people are in dire need or permission to feel good about themselves. Alone, they cannot give themselves permission. As a result, they never feel okay. They need someone to give them permission to be happy. They need an "Expanding Permitted Leader"> An expanding permitted leader is the only person who understands their needs enough to help them.

People will say you are pandering to customers. Others will say you should not build the self esteem of customers because of historical activities. There may be those who will not understand your willingness to be open with your customers. Others will say you spend too much time with them. And then there are those who do not believe that you should create a community of your customers and give them recognition.

It is your choice if you are willing to follow these ways. They will help you heal the customers who come to you. They will help you build your personal self esteem, you will develop amore friendly and loving personality within you family and community. You will learn the skills needed to develop projects, you see these marketing ways not only will help you develop and build Word of Mouth Ambassadors form your customers. With these same skills, you can build consensus within your community. You can help people in your community build better lives. These Marketing ways are designed for you as an spirit Conduit Artist. When I started to share this vision, I told you these words came from Spirit for me to share with you. When Spirit shares with one such as myself, it is reaching for those who are receptive. Spirit never forces, only releases and allows. It is up to you to decide if these ways will work for you. Will you see yourself as part of the Creative Triad made up of Spirit, You and your customers. Will you open yourself to sharing Spirit's gifts through the marketing ways?. You will find that the more your give the more you will receive. The more words will come into your head. The more pictures and designs will come to you in the night. They have been led to you by Spirit because they need what Spirit has sent through you. They have come to be healed, to be made whole by your works. They may seem petty, selfish and totally untouched by Spirits. They have come to you to be made whole by the designs Spirit has sent through you. They are your students, whether you know it or not. It is up to you to use the designs Spirit has sent through you to teach, to share, to enlighten to build self esteem. Your art is your tool you have to bring them to a higher level of awareness.

In a sense marketing your artwork through Customer Bonding and Linking is a kind of dance. It is a three way dance between Spirit which sent you the designs that only you can see, you as an artist/marketer who translated Spirits ideas and expressed them so all could see, and your customers who has been led to you for healing and growth.

In the middle of the night the music, the designs, the words come to those of us chosen by Spirit to share its message to heal the world, receive its gift. We cannot sleep until we translate Spirits message to our medium. The writer must write the words that flow into its mind. The sculpture is forced to mold the clay or other medium. The jewelry artists find themselves on fire until they create a model of the design Spirit has sent. And the painter paints the artists draws the design. We cannot sleep because Spirit is speaking through us.

Those who cannot see, cannot hear, cannot experience this flow need us. We are vital to them and their healing. You see it is not us who see and hear and experience who need healing. It is those who cannot hear, cannot see and cannot experience directly from Spirit. We are here to heal our world through the gifts of spirit. And it can only happen when we share that with our world.
