Your Experience In Barrio LempiraWhat You Can See In Barrio LempiraBarrio Lempira is the Indian town that is contiguo (next to) La Esperanza which was the Spanish town. That means many of these inhabitants here are friendly, humble Lenca Indians. The Lenca Indians are first and foremost farmers. They come into town on Saturdays and Sundays to meet friends and to trade. The house of Dra. Cross is right on the road but your apartment is protected by the house. So if you want, you never have to see the people. But if you want to, you can sit on Dra. Cross's porch bench and watch the Lenca Indians walk by. At least once maybe twice daily you will see people driving cows through town to the market. Chances are some of the local rancheros will ride their decorated horses down the road. You may see children playing soccer in the road and young people courting along the sides. The road leads you into the Barrio El Centro of La Esperanza if you turn left, If you go right you will be able to see the Barrio Lempira Plaza which is a soccer field.
