Are You Willing To Be A Healer?

You Have Been Led to Tourism To Heal Our World

So you have decided to create a tourism project. Perhaps you saw a webpage about tourism. Or perhaps your extension office has a fact sheet out on tourism. Maybe it sounds like an easy way to make money. People will pay to do your chores. They’ll make their own beds and even cook while on the farm. All you have to do is sit on the porch and rake in the money. Farmers have finally found a way to retire and make money at the same time.

There is some truth in the above. People will pay for the chance to do some of the chores of a farm. People will even make their own beds. But the fact is, it will be more work when your tourists do the chores than when you did them yourself. And the cooking must be supervised so it comes out good enough to eat. Tourism or entertainment farming can be a lucrative sideline or developed into a full time business. But tourism of any kind is more than just the technical details of a clean room, good food and fun activities. Especially tourism requires a special kind of person to develop a project. That’s because people come to an tourism site for healing. They come to find an inner peace, a place where there is warmth. They either remember or someone told them about how it used to be when most people lived on farms and the families were large and people were welcoming. They hear song about Grandmother house where everyone comes for Christmas and are welcome.

People Come To Your tourism Project To Find Healing

For example, if they come to a farm for your agricultural tour activities they are seeking that warmth, that acceptance, that peace they associate with all the images of home to the farm for the holidays. They come for peace, they come for belonging, they come for fun, but most of all, they come for healing.

Now all the components for a healing experience must be in place. Clean surroundings, safe environment, good food, comfortable sleeping quarters, friendly animals and safe places to play and enjoy. But these are just the expected technical details. The most important component is you as host or hostess. And your most important job is to heal them. To build their self esteem, to show them you value them, to provide experiences that give them recognition, to welcome them home. A welcoming home is what they are seeking.

They Come To Be Renewed Because Their Daily Life Is Hard

Often their well paid jobs have its downside. Many times on their jobs it is dog eat dog. In their homes no one has time to pay attention to them. They wait for an hour for a parking place and someone pushes in ahead of them and takes the space. In the bank line the window closes just as they get there after waiting forty minutes. They had to be on standby. The airline overbooked and even though they had reservations they missed their flight and all their connections. And when the products advertised so heavily on TV didn’t work the company would replace them even after you were on hold for an hour. When they came home tired there was a note on the refrigeration telling them to fix themselves a sandwich.

Their feet hurt so they were going to fill a pan with hot water to soak them and discovered the hot water heater had gone out. After being out of town for two weeks they were looking forward to a swim in the pool but the water was a murky green because the teenager who had been paid in advance did not clean the pool and put in the pool chemicals. After years of cowtowing to a tyrannical boss with a promise of a promotion he brings in his nephew or frat brother and demand you train them so they can get the promotion you expected. After volunteering for years in the local soccer program your child finally enters only to be placed on the worst team because they forgot to enroll him with his friends,

They Need A Welcome Home In Your Project

When they come to your tourism place they want and need to be welcomed, to be brought into a caring group, to be made to feel special, to belong just like in the movies when they came on a sleigh to Grandmothers house in the woods.

Are you capable of giving this to the tourists who come to your place? Can you put up with their inner anger, their hidden frustrations, their need to be soothed, their demands for special treatment?

Those Who Are Led To Create Tourism Projects Are Those Who Are Chosen By Spirit

One hundred people can read the same article and only one person will be touched. Chances are you are attracted to tourism from reading something or seeing something about how tourism projects are developed. What you saw touched a chord in you. Are You The (ONE) Person Who Is Willing To Develop A Healing Through Tourism Project?

The Tourism Healer is a person who wants to create an environment where a traveler could come and find the rest, the peace, the belonging, the caring they needed. They understand that in order for that to happen, their place must provide an experience that heals. You are that person who is read to take action to begin the process of planning and developing a healing tourism project. Your great joy in your life has been making people comfortable and happy. You love to heal and see the light come back into the eyes of wounded people through providing a welcoming experience. I call this person a Tourism Artist/Director. That’s because you are an artist when you create the scenario on your farm for your participants to come and have that healing experience. And you are as director as you manage all the components parts so the tourism experience flows like clockwork.

A Personal Message To All Tourism Artist/Directors

We are those who have been chosen by Spirit to serve as a conduit to heal our world. Our world is in need of healing. Spirit seeks to heal our world through you and me. We are those who see what others do not see. We are those who hear what others do not hear. We are those who wake in the night with designs and pictures and creations spinning and dancing in our heads. We are forced to arise to capture them on paper so we can share them with our world. Music comes into our inner ear. Words flow into our minds. We are the chosen of Spirit. We have been given the gift of creativity. This gift of creativity comes with great responsibility. We are the chosen ones - the ones who are chosen to share the Light of Spirit with our world.

This ability to see the unseen, to hear the unheard, to have the pictures come unbidden within our heads is our great gift of Spirit. Without this gift, there is no art.

The Creator of A Culture Experiential Tourism Project Is An Artist/Director

Those who create empowering, life-healing tourism experiences for others are Artist/Directors. Not only do we have to have a vision, a sense of mission but we must orchestrate the tourism experience for our participants in the same way a choreographer designs a musical. When done well, it appears that each of the participants somehow knows just when to sing, when to dance, how the costumes are made. Everything is orchestrated to look as though it happens by magic. Your role is most important like a movie director. The tourism experience must appear as one whole thing even though you have put all the parts together. A director creates many different short scenes and puts them all together into one whole.

And that is how your Tourism Experience must appear and be experienced by your participants. Everything they need must somehow magically appear minutes before they need them. The areas must be spotlessly clean as though by magic. The food must be perfect, the sites filled with flowers and natural beauty. Only an Artist/Director inspired by Spirit can create such a healing experience. We call this "The Perfect Tourism Experience".

The gift of the art of Healing Through Tourism in the rest of this article will be called the art of Tourism Artist/Director. You are an Artist/Director. The rest of this article is director to those of you who want to heal through your own Tourism Project as an Healing Through Tourism Artist/Director.

We Are Given This Gift To Serve As Spirit's Conduit

We are given this great gift to serve as Spirit’s conduit for healing our world. The gift each of you have been given is Spirit’s promise of healing to our world. The gift is already yours. You experience the healing power of spirit every time you hear the inner music, see the words flowing through your mind, experience the dancing designs and pictures that come into your head. You are healed by Spirit flowing though you. But your personal healing is not enough. You are here in this time and place of our history as a species because this gift is to be used to heal our world. This is a time in history that has been foretold. This is the time when our world is reeling from the assault on the Earth Mother and on the human connection with Spirit. You are here today to learn some ways that you can fulfill Spirit’s promise to heal the world through your Healing Tourism Project.

Your choice of a Tourism Project is sent to you by Spirit to heal the world. Sometimes the healing is for many. And sometimes it is just for one person or family. Some of those who Spirit is seeking to heal do not seem to deserve its works. But Spirit knows what is needed to heal our world.

The Tourism Artist/Director Conduit Triad

In order for you to continue serving as a conduit, you need the resources to care for your own life, to care for your family, to help your community. This resource comes from those you share you art with. Indeed as a Tourism Artist/Director, you are part of a Triad. This Tourism Artist/Director Conduit Triad consists of three entities:

Spirit - the source of the words, music, designs, illustrations, ideas, inspiration and concepts you receive

The Artist/Director - You design the layout, the parts of your land or site that will be used for tourism, you make sure everything is clean, you ensure food is healthy and prepared on time, you make sure all activities are available at the right time, you provide needed inputs, ensure all supplies are on hand and provide all needed components for a empowering, healing experience for your customer - you create the Perfect Tourism Experience from the Spirit energy flowing through you

Your Customer - The Ultimate recipient who provide you with the both the financial and self esteem reward you need in order to keep sharing Spirits gift - your customer is an integral part of your life. Your customers also have an additional role to play. Your works have come into their life through the direct intervention of Spirit. They can continue Spirit work by sharing information you and your works. They are important players in Spirit’s work of healing of our planet. They should be enlisted as active members of your Word of Mouth ambassadors program.

The words I share with you today were given to me in the night. I am sharing with you Spirit's outpouring to me. Here are some ways that you as Spirit Conduit Artist/Director can reach the ultimate recipients and market your tourism project. We call them the 18 Marketing Way Of Healing Through Tourism. Of course it is up to you whether you choose to use these ways. If you choose to use them, you will find ways to heal your world by sharing your gift through these marketing ways. You can create bonds and links with your customers. Here are some marketing ways that will bring you close to your customers.

You Have A Unique Gift To Offer The World

Each person brings to their world a unique set of experiences, education and life design. Each of us has within a great gift for our world. That gift is not something we ourselves created. This gift was given to us by Spirit in the place where we were designed to be a healing force for our world.

Our World Is In Need of Healing

Our world needs healing. From the scared places that have been desecrated to the destruction of the ozone layer. From the cement ceiling that has been placed between Earth and sky. From the sacred trees that have been cut down to the rivers that have been channeled. our world cries out for healing. It cries out for your gift. And yours and yours.

What is your gift? You may say, artists draw, or paint, or make jewelry, sculpt in wood or metal. that is a part of their gift. I am not an artist. But do you have an idea for a tourism project? Has it come to you to develop a place where people can come and be made whole? But your gift is greater than the sum of the art items someone else may have produced. An Artist/Director will be integrating into his tourism project the artworks of others. You serve as a coordinator of the individual actions of your staff as well as ancillary works of craftsmen, handicraft producer, food supplier as well as the suppliers of all the parts you weave together into your tourism project.

So you cannot sing? You can bring singers to your tourism project to heal others. You cannot draw? But you can bring artists to your project to give workshops or share their works. You cannot sculpt but you can offer sculpture workshops to the people who come to your place. You see as a Tourism Artist/Director you are not limited to one medium. You have the power to integrate many mediums into a whole and create a design that heals. Remember to create the Perfect Tourism Experience; every part must work to perfection. Let those who have their special gift use it and you use yours to bring them all together in real time to create the healing experiences your customers needs.

Your first step as an Artist/Director is to determine what your gift is and seek every day to perfect it more. You cannot do the work Spirit has given you unless you become comfortable with who and what you are

Your Talent Is Spirit Outflowing Through You

Each of us is unique and is designed for specific offering to our world - accept who and what you are and be proud of the leading you have been give. Your talent is your presentation of the inner energy of the Source. It has been given you so you can share with those who cannot see the inner design the opportunity to participate in Spirit's great design. You see, there are those of us who hear the inner music. Most people do not But the inner music is being sent to a few of us so that we can hear it within our minds and write down the notes, play the music so the world can be healed by these sacred sounds.

The same is true of any Artist/Director. Artist/Director see and hear the inner designs that come from Spirit. Designed that most of us cannot see until you as Artist/Director bring them forth from the inner design only you can see and create an expression that all can experience. That makes the musician, the Artist/Director, the writer, the creator the most important role in our world. It is our job to realize the actual nature of our universe. The world of science is very similar. Only a few have the inner leading but these precious few can in effect translate Spirits leadings into outer expressions we can all see.

That means accepting the importance of what you are sharing with the world. Understand the vital need of the Earth for the healing you bring with your leadings from Spirit. Spirit needs to be expressed on an Earth feeling great pain. Your tourism project can heal, can share Spirit’s outreach and become a vital part of our planets direction toward sustainability.

So being comfortable and understanding the incredible value you as an Artist/Director have to the world is one of your first steps. Only then will you understand how important it is for you to work to market your project.

Spirit has given you a gift. Through learning as a farmer, a cook, or even as a homemaker or as a self taught Artist/Director you have something that is needed. Something vital. But until you market, you might as well not have even created your work.

Understand that you are different from those around you. Those of us who hear the inner music, experience the inner designs and see the hidden words

Why is it so important to share your tourism project through marketing?

a) What you create is Spirit seeking to communicate with our world through you

b) What you bring to your world is a form of healing for a troubled world

c) what you create will never be seen unless you make it real - you see the inner designs you see are not seen by others until you create them

d) it is not enough to allow the inner design to come forth - you must share it with your world

e) there is someone in need of healing, in need of the joy your work will bring in their lives - until you share it with the world, the person Spirit is trying to share your gift with will not receive it

f) marketing provides you as Artist/Director with the resources needed to continue to be Spirit’s conduit.

Marketing provides the Artist/Director with a complete transaction.

An incomplete transaction is one in which only one party is satisfied. A complete transaction is one in which both parties are satisfied.

How should your marketing be done?

Here are some steps you as Artist/Director can take

A) Become still and discover the nature of your work.

I know you as Artist/Director have probably already chosen the kind of tourism project you want to develop. But there are many possible ways to make that particular project work. But just what is the healing experience your chosen customers or the customers who will be led to you need? How should the activities be developed as healing devices? What is Spirit doing through your work? Meditate and let your mind go free and see where the need for your work is. This is called seeking your place or niche.

B. Develop A Working Plan

Once you know the group you are designed to share with, then you will need to develop a plan. I believe that an Artist/Director should form a relationship with his or her customers so that you are both on the same page. You need to understand that your relationship with a customer should be a lifetime one. That means you need to find ways to keep in touch. After all your designs are from Spirit. But they have come through you. So there is some of your self within each work that you do. That means devising a way to continue a relationships with the customers your have interacted with through a newsletter, online newsletter, Yahoo group and email. That means setting up a Customer Bonding and Linking program.

Not only will a customer bonding and linking program keep you in touch with the tourism friends you have made , it will develop into word of mouth marketing which is the most powerful way to marketing there is.

C. Learn To Be Gentle With Your Customers

Understand the difference between you and your customer may be vast in terms of healing understanding and be gentle with them. Many of your customers come to your tourism site because Spirit saw the need in them and led them to you. That gives you a responsibility to care for them. to never treat their lack of inner peace with contempt. They have been led to you by Spirit because they need what Spirit has sent through you. They have come to be healed, to be made whole by your tourism project. They may seem petty, selfish and totally untouched by Spirits. They have come to you to be made whole by the designs Spirit has sent through you. They are your students, whether you know it or not. It is up to you to use the designs Spirit has sent through you to teach, to share, to enlighten to build self esteem. Your art is your tool you have to bring them to a higher level of awareness.

In a sense marketing your tourism project through Customer Bonding and Linking is a kind of dance. It is a three way dance between Spirit which sent you the leading to develop a healing tourism project that only you can see, you as an Artist/Director/marketer who translated Spirits ideas and expressed them so all could see, and your customers who has been led to you for healing and growth.

D. We Are Those Who Receive The Leadings We Use to Create A Healing Place

In the middle of the night the music, the designs, the words come to those of us chosen by Spirit to share its message to heal the world, receive its gift. We cannot sleep until we translate Spirits message to our medium. The writer must write the words that flow into its mind. The sculpture is forced to mold the clay or other medium. The jewelry Artist/Director themselves on fire until they create a model of the design Spirit has sent. The painter paints. The Artist/Director designs a new place where tourists can renew their spirits. . We cannot sleep because Spirit is speaking through us.

A Tourism Artist/Director Listens To His or Her Inner Leadings

You as tourism Artist/Director wake up in the middle of the night thinking of a new way people can experience the healing experience of your site. Maybe you think of decorating horse wagons for wagon rides. What if we let the kids learn how to mix the chicken feed instead of just letting them feed them? Would people like to not only pick the flowers but learn to dry them? What if I made some plant presses? Could they learn to make flower cards and send them from the farm? Could I silk screen some cards with farm scenes for them to include in a fun package to their families back home? They could put their pressed flowers on the cards. I could slip in one of my brochures and make a photo card showing my customers having fun to send to their families or friends. Or with the printers you have these days you could make individual colored cards for them to send. Could they create them themselves? "I could provide card stock with my farms logo, address and phone number on them." Sometimes you can’t sleep for the ideas for building the self esteem of customers that provide you with profit as well.

We are Privileged to Create A Place Of Healing

Those who cannot see, cannot hear, cannot experience this flow need us. We are vital to them and their healing. You see it is not us who see and hear and experience who need healing. It is those who cannot hear, cannot see and cannot experience directly from Spirit. We are here to heal our world through the gifts of spirit. And it can only happen when we share that with our world.
