The Unique Thing About Leucaena Based Ecoindustrial Development Is That It Is a Win-Win Scenario for Everyone. We Operate From The Premise That All Parties Have Validity And We Are Seeking For The One Point Of Mutual Advantage Where We Can All Work Together.

Tropical countries need a new crop for driving rural development. We need a way to develop industries in the small towns to prevent migration to urban areas. Let us take a look at what kind of crop we should select to drive economic development. The selection has to have the parameters below. Leucaena has most if not all of these parameters. We’ll look at them one by one to see how we can develop Leucaena based agro industries in your country.  Subscribe now to our free online Newsletter "Leucaena Development". leucaena@forestworld2050.com

Leucaena Information Center Being Developed

There is a great deal of interest in Leucaena for biomass energy, livestock feed, bioremediation,  ornamental shade, green pods for food,  reforestation, nurse trees, green matter production,  natural fertilizer, living fences,  fuelwood, energy briquettes,  hardboard, particle board, furniture, pulp feedstock, firebreaks,  carbon sequestration,  watershed restoration, and economic development.

The LPS is setting up a special Leucaena Information Center where we make available summaries of research findings and economic studies from many countries like the USA, India, Australia and others. We are developing a Leucaena information center here in Maricopa County Arizona and are offering Leucaena seeds as well. These seeds were grown in Arizona and have been tested for viability. We are selecting cold resistant Leucaena here for tropical mountain pasture use. The LPS also provides consultancy for development of Leucaena based projects.

MOTILES Global EcoTrade and Development Center (MGETDC)

The MOTILES Global EcoTrade and Development Center is the brainchild of Dr. Carol Cross, an agricultural and development consultant presently living in Honduras.  MOTILES, S.A. is a Honduran firm.  Dr. Cross has lived and worked in Honduras for years.  Dr. Cross has worked in the Caribbean and South America as well. She worked with international students and professionals in the USA.  She taught at Howard University and the University of Oregon.  Her earned doctorate is in biology with specialization in plant ecology.  She also studied agriculture at Oregon State University. Because of her childhood farm experience, educational background and years of agricultural consulting in Central America, Dr. Cross has founded the MOTILES Global EcoTrade and Development Center. This center is designed to facilitate sustainable development in rural areas of the world.   As her superordinate goal in life she helps children have an opportunity to play soccer.   She has a non profit called Soccer For Life which collects used soccer gear for children in Honduras.  Dr. Cross has expertise in tropical food production, use of kenaf and leucaena for sustainable economic development and is pioneering in renewable energy through biomass generated electricity.
