There is a convergence of forces right now.  Environmental forces from the growing threat of climate change.  Human forces as weapons of mass destruction proliferate and are placed in the hands of the totally ruthless who do not care what havoc they might rain on future generations. Human forces as two great religions clash again and again.  The Crusades are still being fought. 

The Fact Is - Change is Happening.  Forests are disappearing which are the lungs of the planet.  The ocean is threatened which is our life blood.   But we can become "prudent humans".  As "prudent humans" we will cut down trees but we will replant them. We will grow fast growing nitrogen fixing trees like Leucaena for energy.   We won't use trees for paper we'll grow kenaf.  We will develop a sports passports so our athletes can travel freely and give us the needed release from our fighting and struggling through experiencing the power of sport.

We have been trained since childhood and bear the RNA memory molecules that make us prejudiced.  We can through training change our inner belief about our fellow human beings. During World War II Southern US soldiers learned to respect and work side by side with their Black brothers.  Their inner beliefs were changed.  The new field of Diversity Communication provides needed skills for successful business and personal relations in our high diversity world. Used Clothing Export Is A Key Recycling Business

People in developed countries shop for recreation.  We go to the mall, we shop at stores like Wal-Mart and we fill up our shopping carts.  Millions go to specialty clothing stores and seek to buy the latest fashion. Often we spend hundreds of dollars during a one day clothing shopping trip.  We do that because we want to "Be In Style".  The problem we have is that four times each year the styles change.  New models come out.  And we have to have the latest.  So our closets and garages fill up with unwanted clothes.  Many of these clothes have only been used once and others we never wear.  Finally we get tired of them and give them to the Salvation Army, to our church or to Goodwill.  We feel good because we have given to charity. Often we even get a tax deduction.

The fact is those used clothing we gave so casually are a key to economic development in many countries.  Those clothing have just began a long journey to countries in Africa, Asia or Latin America into their marketplaces.  You see in those countries poor people have to wear clothes too.  But when you make $2.50 or even less per day you can't go to the mall to shop.  You go to the market to the used clothing stalls and that's where you buy your clothing.

Once The Great Forest Covered our Planet. Now through Deforestation It Has been. Trees Are A Key Ally In Our Battle To Lower Carbon and Other Gases In Our Environment.  We Support Planting Multi Use Leucaena In The Tropics.  AIC has developed the Leucaena Production Society as it outreach for promoting tree planting worldwide.  The collaboration of AIC and LPS is producing a new field of sustainable development called Leucaena Effect Agroforestry., Kenaf Is A Vital Component of Leucaena Effect Agroforestry.  Leucaena is excellent for livestock feed, Agroforestry, electricity generation, carbon sequestration Leucaena leaves have a rich amino acid called mimosine, which prohibit livestock producers from feeding Leucaena alone. It must be mixed with grasses such as Buffel Grass or other non leguminous plant such as kenaf. Because Leucaena is so valuable for livestock feed, the Leucaena Effect Agroforestry developers have pioneered its use as a Multipler plant for developing large scale Rural Agrindustrial Centers.  Take a summer seminar on on Leucaena  as well as a Summer 2007  kenaf seminar in Honduras.  You may also take the online Leucaena course.

Whatever we achieve in life will be empty if we do not give back to our world.  A superordinate goal is our desire to leave the world better than we found it.  Through our non profit organization, Soccer for Life we offer free soccer clinics in Arizona and the Honduran children program called the Honduras Youth Soccer Program.  You are invited to participate through our sponsorship programs.  You are invited to become a part of our soccer donation project by collecting and sending us used soccer gear for Honduran youth.

Soccer for Life is a non profit 501-(3) C organization designed to enable all the children of the Western Hemisphere to have the opportunity to play soccer, the beautiful game.  Soccer for Life has received a determination of tax exemption from Federal Income taxes . All contributions to Soccer For Life, Inc., are deductible under section 170 of the Code. That means that donations of cash as well as equipment, used soccer gear, vehicles, etc., receive a tax deduction from IRS. Any donation will be valued and you will receive a statement from Soccer for Life, Inc., that you can use to deduct from your income tax. Tourism is now the world's largest industry.  Tourism can heal - the mind.. the body..the spirit.. the earth.  But in order for tourism to be a experience that heals ourselves, heals others and heals the earth, it must combine fun experiences with resource sustainability components. In sustainable tourism we use the natural environment.  But if tourism is no longer to be an extractive one way experience,  it must include a sustainability component that has to do with resource sustainability. Tourism uses the land, the water, the air, the site and all of the natural resources.  To make tourism sustainable it is necessary to maintain the integrity of the natural environment.

We must be careful during construction even when creating tourism projects so we do not destroy habitat. Certain so called tourism activities such as off-road driving, plant collection, hunting and fishing that is not sustainable can be destructive.  It can drive rare species to extinction and cause the loss of habitat.

What sustainable tourism seeks to do is create a tourism industry which combines fun as well as resource sustainability activities.  We need to so incorporate the sustainability activities within the fun experiences so our tourists begin to expect that they must do more than just extract but are required to give back as well. So the sustainable tourism industry must meet the needs of present tourists, teach tourism as a eco-activity that includes both enjoyment and resources sustainability, and support our planet's health into the far future..
