Dr. Cross or staff person will come on site with you, wherever you are. She will advise you in every step of your Leucaena production project.
Once you are a participating farmer, she or a staff person will work on your land with you to develop your project. To become a participating farmer and develop your own Leucaena project, a consulting agreement must be established between the farmer and Dr. Cross. The agreement must have the following parameters:
A) SELECTION OF METHOD OF PAYMENT FROM THE FIVE LEUCAENA PRODUCTION SOCIETY Participating Farmer Payment Options
B) A SMALL PLOT OF LAND ON YOUR FARM MUST BE MADE AVAILABLE TO LEUCAENA PRODUCTION SOCIETY TO TEST EXPERIMENTAL VARIETIES OF LEUCAENA , FAST GROWING NITROGEN FIXING TREES, AND GRASS SPECIES WITH FORAGE POTENTIAL
Now you have the opportunity to develop your own dry season livestock feeding program. LPS’s Farming program is the only one of its kind presently belong offered to tropical farmers anywhere in the world.
