Soccer for Life is a non profit 501-(3) C organization designed to enable all the children of the Western Hemisphere to have the opportunity to play soccer, the beautiful game. Soccer for Life has received a determination of tax exemption from Federal Income taxes . All contributions to Soccer For Life, Inc., are deductible under section 170 of the Code. That means that donations of cash as well as equipment, used soccer gear, vehicles, etc., receive a tax deduction from IRS. Any donation will be valued and you will receive a statement from Soccer for Life, Inc., that you can use to deduct from your income tax. We are classified as a public charity under 509 (a) (2) of the IRS code. We Need First Aid Supplies For Youth Soccer Players In Intibuca
We all know that although soccer is not a contact sport, often there is contact. Kids fall, get bruises, pull muscles, tear tendons. When this happens in the USA, all the kids sit on the ground and wait while someone take care of the wounded kid. There is a first aid kit with all the supplies needed. Everything is ready, available and supplies are replenished as needed. Nothing is too good for America's soccer kids.
Not so in Intibuca. There is no medical kit for use by the teams during games and tournament. Usually there is no water for the players unless brought by the coaches. None of the teams have first aid kits. If a child is injured, usually they have to keep playing. Kids go home on bicycles or walking after leg injuries. Such is the draw for the game that no one complains. When they get home there is no ice pack because most homes do not have refrigerators. The price for playing the game is pain. There is no juice served during half time.
We need to change all this. These kids are part of the world of soccer. Won't you help them get what they need so they can enjoy playing the beautiful game? The Liga Menor would like to supply each time with team medical kits. We are in need of materials for a large Liga Menor medical supply cabinet as well as individual first aid kits for each team. Please donate bandages, Band-Aids, tape, Neosporin, aspirins, Tylenol, Advil, ointments, athletic bandages, sports tape, and similar items so teams can create first aid boxes to take to practices and games.

Your donations will be shipped to Honduras in the boxes you send. Please send in sturdy boxes no larger than 22 x 22 x 22,
The boxes should be no bigger than 22"x22"x22". Place items inside plastic garbage bags and close them before putting the soccer gear in the boxes. The boxes will be shipped by boat and this ensures they do not get wet. The boxes should be labeled with two labels:

The donated items must be itemized on the Donation Invoice Sheet. A copy must be placed in each box as well as a separate copy must be sent to Dr. Cross in Honduras. Make sure when you send him the envelope of the donation sheets, you tell him it is for the Soccer for Life Donation project.

 Soccer For Life Has A New North American
Director To Head The Soccer Gear Donation Project,
Chris Watkins. He is a home schooled student in Florida who has just
finished a year in Honduras as an Intibuca Soccer
Volunteer. Chris first visited
Intibuca when he was six
years old. Chris is a soccer referee, and specializes in Goal Keeper
training. Chris is considered a "geek or techie' and is called the
"Gentle Giant" because he is over 6 feet tall at 17 years old and also
because of his gentle style of coaching of young players. Chris is an
avid gamer, operates through his own website the
MOTILES Gaming nexus under the name
of magelord-keeper. His goal in life is
to be a video game developer. He is presently the "go to" guy for any
computer or technology needs of Soccer for Life.
He has learned a lot in Honduras, playing both with teams and in the
streets, including what is called the
Honduran Way of Soccer. He is presently playing in the Liga Mayor
team Atletico Lenca which is registered with FENAFUTH. He has been
asked to tryout for the second division professional team Atletico
Esperanzano in January. He is helping to develop the
Honduran Soccer Mastery program for the
Ligas de la Comunidades Intibucanas. He will be interested in
communicating by email with gamers in the Far Cry world, Battlefield 2 world
and the Guild Wars world. Chris is an important part of distributing
your soccer gear in Honduras through the
donation concursos he runs. Just ship
