Program Fees For Intibucá Soccer Volunteer Adventures

A Thousand Years Of Light Begin With A Single Candle. Light That Candle. Be That Candle.

Why Do We Have Program Fees?

These program fees are a key component in our development of youth soccer in Intibucá. When we began our project of bringing down volunteer coaches, it was an extreme hardship on the staff and leadershp of the Liga Menor. La Esperanza is about a four hour drive from the airports of San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa. That means to pick up a volunteer coach requires a full day. Not only does the staff member lose that complete work day, they have to use their high cost gas to make the trip. Room and board was offered by the individual coaches providing room and board. But many of the coaches simply could not afford to put up the volunteers out of their limited incomes.

We did not want the volunteer coaching program to be stopped. But we could not afford to continue to absorb all the costs. So it became necesaary to require these program fees. These program fees will enable us to increase the number of coaches we bring down, bring more children into our programs. develop a program for girls, purchase land for our fields, fence in the fields and build a field house and other components of a soccer program.

When we looked at the internet we saw program fees for projects such as ours to have a cost of up to $3000 for four weeks. That seemed too much. Because our goals are to cover our costs and provide funds to continue our program, we have made our Intibucá Soccer volunteer program affordable to just about anyone who wants to share their soccer skills with the youth of Intibucá. We want to bring as many people as possible into our caring soccer community here in Intibucá.

Below is our fee structure for our programs:
