In order for Sports Adventure Tourism to serve as a sustainable development method worldwide projects must be developed on an environmentally suitable site for that particular Enviroadventure project activity. What is the difference in impact from bird watching to river rafting? Who should control and monitor such impacts?
ISAI is developing the SATReal Tourism Property Consultancy to enable developer, landowners, government and project developers to access the needed resources for developing sustainable tourism.
For those who want to evaluate their properties for sustainable development and land use, ISAI is developing the SATReal Property Suitability Analysis. That means each time we offer a property designed for a Sports Adventure Tourism project, we can evaluate the site for the chosen activities through SATReal Analysis. This SATReal Analysis will be individually generated for each Enviroadventure Project and the desired real estate.
Because these SATReal concepts are so important, Dr. Cross is putting together an online SATReal Special Advisory Council to be made up or conservationists, ecologists, urban planners, realtors, builders, nature reserves, BLM, Nature Conservancy, Audubon society and other interested groups.

What are some of the questions that might be generated in your individual Enviroadventure Real Analysis:
1. What soil types are on the site and how do they stand up to impact?
2. How many people do you expect to use a given site each year?
3. If you are on a river front area, have you obtained data on previous flood years?
4. If you are on a river front, will you be willing to plant vetiver and other water controlling plants near the river to control flooding?
5. What provisions do you plan to make for the land you have cemented to replace the carbon sequestration of the former soils?
6. How much of the land do you plan to dedicate to planting Leucaena to repay the carbon debt for air travel to the site, etc?
7. What portion of the site will be used for greywater reclamation, composting and other needed waste material regeneration?
8. If there are annual torrential rains, how will you protect cleared lands during these rains?
9. Will the soil compact and cause runoff in the rainy season?
10. Will you be willing to rock in or brick in the docking area to prevent washing away of soils from boat landing?
11. If you build corrals, or other animal holding areas, will you provide drainage piping to prevent water logging?
12. If you have animals, what plans do you have for disposing of manure and urine?
13. Will you train your employees in sustainable practices and how often?
14. Will you be willing to teach your customers environmentally sound practices while on site?
15. When you have trees planted in parking lots or courtyards surrounded by cement, are you aware of the amount of space you must leave around each tree? The temperature regime and type of tree will determine this.
16. How will your project affect global warming?
