Soccer For Life, Inc., Mission Statement

Soccer For Life Has A New North American Director To Head The Soccer Gear Donation Project, Shin Fujiyama. He is a student in Virginia who is already involved in volunteering in Honduras with Washington Overseas Missions and Hondukids. He will be volunteering with the Liga Menor in Honduras in August of 2005. He will will be accepting your soccer gear donations at Shin Fujiyama, 6511 Machodoc Ct, Falls Creek, VA 20043. Soccer for Life, Inc is dedicated to the idea that every child deserves a chance to play the most popular game in the world. We believe that youth sports can provide a conduit through which resources to meet the needs of Youth both in Arizona and in Latin America can be challenged. Here is what we believe:

1. Every child deserves a chance to play.

2. Every child deserves at least one caring adult in their life.

3. There are enough caring adults to provide these interpersonal needs for youth - it’s just a matter of organization and marshaling of resources.

4. Membership in Soccer For Life is available to any caring adult who wants to help youth create a meaningful life through soccer.

5. To develop programs to enable young soccer athlete to understand what becoming a Soccer Youth Leader is and what it involves. 

6. To share insights on how all can help youth through sports.

7. To share ideas on how all can share the Soccer For Life message with their family, our church and our community

8. To support and participate in developing Soccer For Life in Honduras.

9. To offer all opportunities to participate in our tree planting missions in Honduras.

10. To share soccer - The Cup of Hope with every family in Honduras

11. To supply a personally challenging, growth experience, self esteem building and creating community bonding and linking experience to create a lifelong Internet mediated, caring supporting, Soccer For Life community.

12. To actively participate in the development of children Soccer For Life.

13. To stimulate the people of North America to participate in the Soccer Gear Donation Program.

14. To be a leader in the area of helping to create the Intibuca Youth Soccer Center in awareness, experiences, marketing, media planning, and educational outreach.

15. To provide Soccer For Life members positive experiences that enable them to feel good about helping at Risk Youth through supporting Soccer For Life.

16. To provide our members with a wide range of Soccer For Life activities designed to help them grow in body, mind and spirit

17. To serve as a leader in the community in the field of Soccer for At-Risk youth through outreach to schools, NGOs, churches and other organizations to increase the membership base and ensure member commitment to Soccer For Life.

18. To continuously seek out and locate suitable Soccer information that can be applied to our Soccer For Life Program in Honduras.

19. To dedicate our lives to create an Honduras Youth Soccer Project and center for street children.

20. To dedicate our lives to creating the Internet based Soccer For life Membership community.

21. To assist our Soccer For Life Community members so they share with people how to assist Youth At Risk through soccer programs

22. To be dedicated to creating a Soccer For Life learning center here where Participants learn to work with Honduran youth.

23. To supply our members with all the needed components for networking, communicating and sharing ideas, problems and solutions extensively through the Internet.

24. To develop our soccer program to include providing no cost meals, as well as soccer gear to any youth who wishes to learn to play soccer.

25. To provide training in self esteem propagation, mentoring, community building and leadership for our soccer mentors, coaches and youth leaders.

26. To provide training for Youth-AT-Risk in anger control, character building, peer mentoring and leadership.

27. To fight Global Warming through soccer.

The boxes should be no bigger than 22"x22"x22". Place items inside plastic garbage bags and close them before putting the soccer gear in the boxes. The boxes will be shipped by boat and this ensures they do not get wet. The boxes should be labeled with two labels:

The donated items must be itemized on the Donation Invoice Sheet. A copy must be placed in each box as well as a separate copy must be sent to Shin. Make sure when you send him the envelope of the donation sheets, you tell him it is for the Soccer for Life Donation project.

North American Soccer Youth - Participate In The Soccer Against Global Warming Soccer Tournament and Plant Trees

This unique tournament offers soccer players an opportunity to play in an international tournament, enjoy cross cultural activities, and participate with Honduran youth in tree planting projects of the Liga Menor de Futbol Intibucana. As part of the Honduras Youth Soccer Project, young soccer players of the Liga Menor plant trees in the name of donors of soccer equipment to the Liga Menor. By holding a cleat drive to collect soccer gear for the Liga Menor, young soccer players in the USA receive free membership in the Youth Soccer Leaders Program (YSLP). All players in this tournament who bring a soccer uniform as a donation to the Liga Menor will receive free membership in the YSLP. You will receive special recognition on Awards Night if you Start A Cleat/Uniform Drive.

Soccer for Life is a non profit 501-(3) C organization designed to enable all the children of the Western Hemisphere to have the opportunity to play soccer, the beautiful game.  Soccer for Life has received a determination of tax exemption from Federal Income taxes . All contributions to Soccer For Life, Inc., are deductible under section 170 of the Code. That means that donations of cash as well as equipment, used soccer gear, vehicles, etc., receive a tax deduction from IRS. Any donation will be valued and you will receive a statement from Soccer for Life, Inc., that you can use to deduct from your income tax. We are classified as a public charity under 509 (a) (2) of the IRS code. We function under the laws of the State of Arizona and carry an Internal Revenue Service "Recognition of Exemption", No. 17053296009004.
