Shoe Importers Have Many Opportunities To Share The Cup of Hope

The import business is fast paced, competitive and littered with losses.  Bring in a load of footwear and miss the targeted popular style and you are faced with having to discount heavily or even dump these goods.  Excess inventory costs you in wasted space and cost of storage.  And the more of it you have the more it costs in loss sales of products that would move in your marketplace.  Frankly products that don't sell  rapidly end up discounted or even dumped.  That is why you have such an opportunity here to fill the Cup of Hope of poor people in Honduras with your problem shoes.  We accept them all.  Here's how you can help:

1.  Donate Excess Inventory

We can always accept shoes as shoes are the most desired item in countries like Honduras. They can make clothing often but making shoes is another story.  By donating to Soccer for Life you can change people's lives and give them something that will make them happy. 

When you import shoes you often get a wide variety of qualities.  Perhaps seams don't match.  Maybe colors are not exactly right.  Patterns of leather may be cut and put together wrong.  Then it may just be the buyers don't want that style.  Perhaps you made too many anticipating sales that never happened. Sometimes goods get dirty or damaged.   What ever the reason, they're sitting in your warehouse. They are costing you money.

Don't just throw them out into the dumpster. Let them do some good. And get yourself a tax deduction.

2.  If You Have Athletic Shoes To Donate

We will use these shoes in our Project Athletic Shoes For Youth Empowerment.

3. Donate Returned or Exchanged Shoes

Anytime shoes come back hey are usually a little shopworn.  They are never the same as before.  The chances of getting full price or even half price is non existent. So this presents a wonderful opportunity to find a place to put these goods and know they are serving a good purpose.  We can offer you tax advantages for goods you can no longer use or market.

4. Donate Cash for Shipping To Honduras

One of the most important needs we have is for funds to ship donations to Honduras.  You can donate shipping funds and receive a full tax credit for the donation.

5.   Promote The Soccer For Life Program In Your Community

There are members in your club or group that have soccer and sports gear in their closets, garages and basements. They don't know about our work in Honduras and how it is helping the poor children of Intibuca get what they need to play.  You are the key to sharing the Soccer For Life Mission with them.  Help us collect soccer gear and promote the Honduras Youth Soccer Project. Tax Deduction Statement Is Available.

Soccer for Life is a non profit 501-(3) C organization designed to enable all the children of the Western Hemisphere to have the opportunity to play soccer, the beautiful game.  Soccer for Life has received a determination of tax exemption from Federal Income taxes . All contributions to Soccer For Life, Inc., are deductible under section 170 of the Code. That means that donations of cash as well as equipment, used soccer gear, vehicles, etc., receive a tax deduction from IRS. Any donation will be valued and you will receive a statement from Soccer for Life, Inc., that you can use to deduct from your income tax. We are classified as a public charity under 509 (a) (2) of the IRS code. We function under the laws of the State of Arizona and carry an Internal Revenue Service "Recognition of Exemption", No. 17053296009004.

Setting Up the Intibuca Youth Soccer Center

Soccer For Life is planning to set up the Intibuca Youth Soccer Center for our teams we will be developing. Because of the fact that many of our Youth-At-Risk have not yet learned the social manners of those in mainstream youth leagues and soccer clubside, we feel that these youths should play among themselves until they gain better social skills.

We will be teaching soccer skills, social skills and character skills such as teamwork, dealing with anger and self control.
