SportAvenTour Centers

A SportAvenTour Center Can Be Developed As A Community Project

A consortium can be pulled together to create a large scale project called a Sports Adventure Tourism Center, or SATCs.  SATCs are large scale, mulitproject Sports and Adventure Projects. A SATC can cost from 2 million US dollars up to 400 million dollars or more. They usually include a sports stadium of some sort as the central function and ancillary sports and adventure projects. The SATC might include international investors, suppliers, project owners, an organizer and a community member or government representative.  Often the government might participate by offering land, floating bonds, providing tax relief and even provide some financing.

A SportAvenTour Center can include any combination of Sports Adventure Activities.  Your SportAvenTour Center can be wholly owned by an individual or group of owners. Your SportAvenTour Center can also be a Sport Adventure SATBI with many individual sport adventure businesses located within its framework.  One of the basic core missions of ISAI is the development, facilitation and marketing of both kinds of SportAvenTour Center.

What are the other social and community development benefits of a SATC:

HOW TO GET A SATC IN YOUR COMMUNITY

1. Decide you want to support the development of industries based on local soccer and Sports Adventure Tourism

2. Get together a small group to discuss the potential of sustainable Sports Adventure Tourism Development and a SATC in your community

3. Request a Community SATC Planning Kit. Send US$250 to  Dr. Carol Cross, CODET, Barrio El Morera, Frente Bazar Reyna, La Esperanza, Intibuca, Honduras, Telephone 504-783-0054 Email honducopa@yahoo.com

Developing a SATC is a serious business, but the high profit potential in your country is truly tremendous.

Some of the SATC modules that be highly profitable to you can be found on the Sports Activities page.

A community-based Sports Adventure Tourism Center, or SATC is a large-scale integrated sustainable Sports Adventure Tourism development project. This is a new approach to drive economic development through sustainable tourism.  We need a way to develop industries in the small, rural towns to prevent migration to urban areas. We want economic development based on Sports Adventure Tourism which includes sustainability components such as SATReal Analysis, ECOSAT Design and Halting Global Warming through the planting of Leucaena.

There will be four very important players in the development of sustainable SATCs. You can profit from a SATC no matter what sector you are in. 1) *Investors* can gain a high return on investment. 2) *Landowners* can quadruple their income by producing value-added products. 3) *Entrepreneurs* create a wealth generating business enterprise with many positives. 4) *Suppliers* gain a new large marketplace for their equipment and eventually enlarge the scope of their production line. As the sustainable SATC industry develops, new products, new services, new supplies, new equipment and many new participants will profit.

The SATC satellite approach offers community members the opportunity to create a profitable project on a small part of their land. SATC can be developed in several different ways.

WHOLLY OWNED SATCS

In this SATC model, a consortium of investors, the SATC developers, entrepreneurs/organizers, suppliers and landowners create a wholly owned SATC complex of one or more modules. These owners as a joint own not only the land, the plant, the infrastructure, they also own all of the modules within the plant.

SATC/SATBI

Here the SATC developers may own one or more modules within the plant, but the most of the building and infrastructure will be leased to SATC module owners who may put in specific plants within the SATC environment.

COMBINED SATC/SATBI

Here the SATC developer operate in different modes. They will have one sector of the SATC infrastructure for their own projects and one sector marked off for other entrepreneurs.

COMMUNITY BASED SATC

This is a  SATC developed by a community and can be based on collective, cooperative or community ownership.
