Welcome To the Tropical Mountains of Honduras

Soccer n" Spanish In the Pines (summary)

The HonduCopa 2006 Soccer Camps are part of ISAI's Proyecto HonduCopa 2006 to enable the Honduran National Soccer Team to attend the 2006 World Cup. As a result, we will be inviting the participation in these camps of members of the Honduras National Soccer team. This will be a unique experience for young soccer players from around the world to learn soccer at the boots of these Honduras Soccer Masters.

These unique summer soccer camps will be held in La Esperanza, Intibuca, a mountain part of Honduras. Honduras is a small country that boasts some of the finest soccer players in the world. The camp will be located up in the mountains of Honduras, where the summer temperature never rises about 80 degrees.

Players can depend upon a temperature of 68 degrees at night, 80 degrees during the heat of the day. Honduras is a forest country, especially the mountains where your players will enjoy pine and other forests.

The camp will feature world class Honduran players as mentors.  You will have optional Spanish lessons if you wish. We can arrange for you to stay with soccer oriented Honduras families so you can play with their children.

Honduran players will be a prime feature of the summer camp while the camps in the US will feature international quality players from many countries.

Cost

HonduCopa 2006 prides itself as having the lowest priced all-inclusive packages available in the entire industry.

The two week program has a low low price of US$1400.  This fee includes in country travel and homestay but does not include air fare to and from Honduras. It includes free pickup at the Tegucigalpa, Honduras airport on July 10, 2005 and return to the airport on July 24, 2005.  Any other time of pickup or transportation between the airport and La Esperanza will require payment of US$90 per trip.

Honduran Soccer Camps and Clinics offers the ultimate soccer experience for players of all ages and levels who love the game of soccer. Honduras is one of the great Soccer nations in the world. Your Soccer Athlete's Honduran experience will have a life lasting affect on each and every player who attends the camps. Players will train, attend professional games and compete in tournament play. Team and individual packages available throughout the year.

All programs include:

Play Against Honduran Teams of Atletico Lenca

The Liga Menor de Futbol Intibucano is the league that supports all the youth in the state of Intibuca who play organized soccer.  Dr. Carol Cross is Director of Development of the Liga and will arrange for games to be played on Saturdays by camp members.

Space In This Unique camp Is Limited

That's means not everyone who applies will be admitted. Enrollment begins on October 1, 2004. The camp will be held from July  11, 2005 to July 24, 2005. Children must be 12 years old and above.

Pre-enroll Your Child in the Summer 2005 Class

This new soccer learning program is not just about learning the physical skills of soccer. This program is designed to develop Soccer Masters, those who have complete control of their body, mind and spirit. They will learn the skills of cross cultural communication by playing with youth from Honduras and other countries. We create leaders who can get along with anyone in the world. We include character building, communication skills, personal interaction skills as well as the physical skills of playing soccer.

Are you willing to invest in your child's soccer future to have your child coached by world class soccer players? Is it worth it to you to have your child go through a step-by-step program that trains your child to make sure he or she masters the physical skills of soccer? Is your child athletically talented? An artist? A writer?

Wouldn’t they profit from being coached by coaches who are trained in self esteem building and character development? Wouldn’t you enjoy being able to share the soccer experience with your child? In this program you as a parent/partner will be intensely involved.

Soccer players and parents will be housed in friendly homestays with families in La Esperanza. Or you may optionally stay at local hotels at your own expenses. The homes are pleasant, clean and filled with friendly families who would like to get to know you and your child. usually someone in each home plays soccer.

ONLY A FEW WILL BE ACCEPTED

This charter summer we will only accept a few children into the program. The child must submit a paper in his own handwriting telling why he/she wants to learn soccer in Honduras. That means they will need to go on the internet, learn something about Honduras and Honduran soccer. They must also agree to listen to parents and strive for peak performance at each practice. In addition, each child must have a letter of recommendation from a teacher, minister, coach or a community organization.

Fee include Airport Pickup and In Country Travel and Accommodations

We offer our soccer experience to not include airfare  because many people have frequent flyer mils and want to book their own travel. We do require that all come to Honduras by Sunday July 10, 2005.  We will pick up at the airport free that day,  and drive you to La Esperanza.  The evening is spent at the Hotel La Esperanza.

You will then go to your home-stay the next morning.  If you come into Honduras before July 3, we will pick you up at the airport for a $90 airport fee.  In addition we have activities scheduled beginning the day you enter.  The two week program has a low low price of US$1400 including all in-country travel.

Remember to email  Dr. Cross with questions at any time. I look forward to hearing from you!

Arrive Tegucigalpa July 10, 2005.  We will pick up at airport.  We will then travel to La Esperanza and spend the first night in the Hotel La Esperanza.
