Help Poor Children Of Latin America Get The Soccer Gear They Need to Play

Soccer For Life is a Nonprofit organization dedicated to making the world’s most popular sport available to all the children of the Western Hemisphere. We intend to collect old soccer balls, shin guards, old soccer shirts and shorts, repair them, hold fund-raisers and develop training and coaching for Mexican, Honduran and Nicaraguan.  In Honduras, Soccer for Life offers the Honduras Youth Soccer Project.

Mountain Children Often Play Soccer In Rubber Boots Because They Don't Have Cleats. One Player Wore These Torn Sneakers To Play In Because They Were The Only Ones He Owned.  Please Donate Soccer Cleats and Athletic Shoes For These Youth.

Will You Help Us Share The Cup Of Hope With The Children Of Honduras By Sharing Information About Soccer For Life? Just Ask Your Friends, Your Team Members And Your Family To Clean Out Their Closets, Garages & Basements And Send Their Soccer Gear To The Honduras Youth Soccer Project.

The Valley of Jesus de Otoro

The Hot Spot In The State of Intibuca

Welcome To Warmth In The Cool State of Intibuca

Jesus de Otoro is the warm tropical part of Intibuca.  When you come down into the valley from La Esperanza, you will need to take off your sweaters or sweat shirts. If you are in a car you may have to turn on your air conditioning. You are about to enter the tropics.  You will see a lot of Leucaena trees and other tropical trees. Guanacastes here are huge.  Orchids are everywhere.  Flower gardens abound with many many colors.

The mountain country is cool and refreshing.  It never gets over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The breezes are cool.  The pine trees, sweet gums and other temperate trees. Roses abound in La Esperanza and environs along with blackberries and other temperate fruits like apples, pears, plums and peaches.

But sometimes even the most refreshing cool breeze is not enough to please a visitor.  There comes a time when the desire for a warmer place comes over a visitor to Honduras.  There comes a moment what a person wants to see cashew trees and see mango trees.  The beauty of red ginger flowers and heliconias is only seen in warmer areas.  To see these you will need to travel down from the high mountains of La Esperanza to the warm Valley of Otoro below.
