These unique Elite Training programs  camps will be held in La Esperanza, Intibucá, a mountain part of Honduras. Honduras is a small country that boasts some of the finest soccer players in the world. The camp will be located up in the mountains of Honduras, where the summer temperature never rises about 80 degrees.

Players can depend upon a temperature of 68 degrees at night, 80 degrees during the heat of the day. Honduras is a forest country, especially the mountains where your players will enjoy pine and other forests.

LEARNING SOCCER SPANISH

LEARNING SOCCER SPANISH

Spanish is the Language of Soccer.  Who are the soccer greats of the world? Most of them come from South America, the land of soccer or fútbol as it is called there.  The first World Cup was played in Uruguay.  Playing soccer is the way of life, the major way of having fun. And when you play soccer with these Honduran Soccer Kids, you will have the time of your life. They love to play and they love to have fun when they play.

You Learn To Talk Soccer In Spanish

Your Spanish classes will be about soccer.  The first lesson is called "¿Que es el futbol?". You learn the stories of great soccer players as you learn Spanish.  Some soccer phrases and terms you will learn

English

Spanish

What is soccer? ¿Que es el futbol?
soccer ball balon,  pelota
soccer player jugador

To learn Spanish without learning something about soccer is impossible.  Soccer is the center of Latin American life. Because of that  soccer is the most important part of your Spanish language learning.  You'll  learn the Spanish words that relate to soccer and attend a soccer game with the director of the school.  At the game you will meet young players from teams of the LIga Menor and get a chance to talk with them. You'll be prepared and rehearsed with Spanish language soccer words and phrases.

The directors of the school are a part of the community because of their active involvement with youth and adult soccer in La Esperanza.  We operate a soccer gear donation project and also coach and serve as volunteer consultants. You'll get a chance to participate in the tree planting activities of the Liga Menor

You Will Play Against Teams of The Liga Menor

When you play in the games  you will be able to make comments in Spanish. You'll find yourself welcomed into the community because of soccer. Many times when American kids travel in Latin America, they feel like strangers. In some places, there is a closed culture, where they only care about those who are a part of their family network.  But when it comes to youth soccer, you find these people opening up to you.  Everyone want to play better and  in ways never before seen.

Just by participating in this soccer and Spanish program you will move from the status of “Gringo” to friend. You will find people greeting you on the streets.

As a soccer player here, you are treated like you belong, like family members.  There is no other Spanish immersion program that can give you that kind of community

SOCCER IN THE AFTERNOON

This soccer program follows the Soccer Masters Program which means that you progress as fast as you are able through the levels.  Everyone demonstrates their abilities in the levels and passes forward at his or her own pace.

In addition, campers will practice for the Soccer Skills Demonstration on the last day of the program.

Arrive In San Pedro Sula the Saturday before the camp begins.  We will pick up at airport free on that dateIf you arrive before or after that date pickup at airport is US$90.
